I think someone gave you a run down of places on here earlier in the week. I don't think you will find a friendlier place than Dominion in town. And by the late spring, early summer, they will have a bar upstairs.

 

Fwiw EMJBMS has exactly 3 ratings on BA thus far, so I'm not sure we can really make much of that score right now. Even on Untappd it's only got 21 ratings, but the score is crazy high and notably higher than MMJ.

Fwiw, I really enjoyed new Maple Jesus, much moreso than the Michigan Maple Jesus, which I thought was overly sweet. This one had more balance to it and wasn't a beer I was tired of after 3 oz.

 

Macgruders had sump on the growler station a week ago, may be worth a call as I'm not sure how fast they rotate kegs there. It was around 17$ for 32 oz fill.

Maybe nobody wants Sump this year? There were 12 sitting on a shelf at the Growler station at TW Sterling an hour ago. Now 11. Also had an Abyss on the shelf too.

 

I feel like there are better and cheaper options than Sump (e.g., FBS).

 

What are some of your favorites for imperial coffee stouts? I think Sump is in my top 5 beers regardless of style.

 

I'm not saying Sump is bad; it's just that an ~$18 bomber is hard to swallow when I could get a 4-pack of FBS or a sixer of Victory at Sea for less. As far as non-BA coffee stouts, I'd agree that Sump is toward the top of the game. I probably wouldn't have passed on it this year if I didn't just have too much beer right now.

 

I definitely didn't mean it in a snarky way. I was just curious if there were any good ones I haven't tried. Huge fan of coffee stouts. Especially like VAS as well.
