This latest batch of Minute Man (1/30) is pretty great. Labeled as a NE IPA, I'd say it's more dank and unfiltered than hazy and juicy, though.

In other situations, I agree with your train of thought. But I'd much rather have one bottle of Sump than anything you mentioned. I don't know if this is actual bottle variation or in my head, but I've enjoyed some bottles of Sump more than Abraxas (both are in my top 5 non-BA'd stouts).

Yeah it's not a NE style IPA at all imo, but a nice low bitterness crusher.

Anyone try this latest batch of Pounding Trees? says it's double dry hopped with citra and mosaic lupulin powder...

I had a can last night. I thought it was really good. Definitely the best 3 Stars IPA I've had.

FW Bravo at TW Alexandria. Apparently no limits, which is surprising for a FW boxed beer.

I had Bravo a few years ago at the Firestone Walker/Flying Dog Savor Salon. Bravo was one of the four beers in the Hydra Cuvee beer they made for the event. You got to try each of the four beers by themselves before the blended final product. I thought Bravo was outstanding and worthy as a standalone beer. I guess they used to sell it many years ago.

My understanding is that this is the first time it's ever been bottled. Previously, it was only available on draft, and mostly just at FW's tap rooms.

Anyone know if Madagascar is dropping anywhere other than CBC?

I heard the rumor that only one case hit the city. I would normally take that with a grain of salt, but something like that happened last year. I think it also hit some places out in Maryland last year.

I know Calvery Woodley got a pretty healthy drop last year, but that was also when Randy was there and now the guy who took over for Randy (who was quite good!) is gone as well. So take that with a grain of salt. Worth a call though.

Picked up a Council Brewing Cherry Sour Saison the other day at Canton Crossing. MAN, that's one good sour!

I remember those days - I got 2 of em from Randy. I was in there yesterday and I didn't see any.

After he left Calvert he officially retired. Wouldn't be shocked if he got back in the game at some point though.
