I'm presuming that this is the latest version. How is it? The last one from October was kickass!

I heard it's like Arrested Development, which is one of my favorite shows ever. It's on the to do list. I have a lot on my plate with the online beer drinking and everything though. Cheers sir.

Well, Day #3 of Upper Pass DDH First Drop Experiment (canned Tuesday.)

Just a bit brighter and more flavorful than last night's Day #2. I still think it will get even better.

The last one was Idaho 7, liked it a lot, but would buy 12th of never over it price/quality. I think this one is better though, hopped with Lemondrop, Citra, Comet and Cashmere. Hops were lighter overall but the flavor was excellent. Great citrus character, would love to put it side by side with sip of sunshine since it is very reminiscent of sip.

Seen some unexpected and interesting back-to-back posts in my time on here, but this within the context of the two quoted posts was a new one.

Ha! was just thinking that I hadn't had my favorite Backwoods and was thinking we're almost halfway until the next release, and I still have a sealed case (plus the fridge plus a few stragglers). Maybe it's time to pop one...

But I also had purchased quite a few of the Schlafly Ibex Cellar BA Imperial Stouts I liked them so much. I'd neglected them as well, so...

    mmmmm........

Watching/listening to some Live from Daryl's House. Guessing some new episodes are in the offing soon??

    Edit:
If only you had posted earlier....:slight_smile:

Continuing on with my shitty day. I've dealt with too many morons today. From the idiot who pulled out in front of me, where I had to SLAM on my breaks HARD - to the complete idiots at work.

I was looking forward to a beer, and here's what I picked
    [IMG]
It's a, technically, strong beer. The problem is I just don't like the flavor. Sadly, it's going to be a drain pour. I just don't like it.

This pours a bubbly golden color, somewhat murky. The head was minimal, 1 finger, white, and dissipated quickly. The nose is is fruty. I also get some sour notes to it. The taste I get like a sour apple flavor. I'm not a big fan of that flavor palate. The feel has a nice bubbly feel to it. Technically, it's a strong beer, but it isn't for my palate.

So, moving on, and to a recycled pic -

Now I will join you for a beer @tasterschoice62 . I needed something that could stand up to Ju Ju and this definitely holds its own.

Another first time brew from Night Shift, Santilli...

Lighter, leaner, tighter, (and paler) and with a sharper bitterness and feel than Morph - with brighter citrus aspects and a pronounced grassy/herbal, floral character... Another superior brew...

Oh, and lest I forget - Steeler Nation nod to our beloved birthday boy, Jerome Bettis (45)...
A bruising back, a real cool guy, a Hall of Famer; second only to Franco Harris in career yards as a Steeler (Willie Parker is third on the list) - gotta watch the vids on YouTube... NFL won't let 'em stream here... asinine, but whatevs  - do it for the Bus...

He was something else, man - lookit them nimble feet and massive frame!

--> Famous run where he bowls over Brian Urlacher (for a TD ) @ 31:00

Cheers, BA; cheers, Steeler Nation... :sunglasses:

Marsh Island Pulp Truck IPA up next, mouthfeel is improved on this batch, a little more body and higher carbonation. Also a little clearer and cleaner flavor I believe.

Is it really necessary to include the lyrics? It's been a while since I heard that. Thank you.

I made the mistake of playing it for my kids a few weeks ago. Now they sing it all the time.

I rated it for NBS (I think) and agree - was blown away (there's a thread on this )... I gave it an overall 5.

More details no one asked for... I had seen it was decently rated, and for a Schlafly beer to be decently rated, I had some hopes. I know they almost always make solid interpretations of styles (and I'm not alone in thinking that their pumpkin beer is the gold standard). And I think this hit that spot... an awesome beer that is somehow not a "sell out" of what the company prides itself on producing.

Side note: I after the fact realized the Ibex series also included a really good (though also expensive) Berlinerweiss Eleventh Labor (at 4.17, I am -6.5% from the average). Next Ibex series beer I see, I'll likely grab two packs and take the risk (you guys should continue using caution, just in case I am right ).
