In addition, our studies have found that if you sit on this chair long enough your posterior will absolutely smell like PVW23!

Looks like the tasting table. Its to the right of Biere de Garde out of the picture. Probably not for sale. Hoping I'm wrong...

Dammit you're right. Didn't realize the tasting table was above where they shoot the new releases

I finally got to try Psuedo Sue last evening (Monk's Café). It was the 1/23 release. I was really disappointed. It was way more malty than I expected. I had a Zombie Dust draft at another place afterwards that was way better, if those are even to be compared.

King Sue is getting bottled this week. It was listed as one of the 5 beers to enter the Chicago market. We'll see if they distro any of the 90bbls here

I noticed that with those 12/20 cans that I so exhaustingly have been lampooning, they taste better if the entire can isn't dumped into a glass, because the hop resins or particulate or whatever the hell the sediment is tastes bitter and a little skunked. Without all the sediment, I at least got some citra from the cans. I'm wondering if that's what your issue was, too (although I'm surprised to hear this about the 1/23 cans).

Personally I prefer PS to ZD, so hopefully this will be a non-issue soon enough.

I saw that and started handing money out to random homeless people in exchange for having them hang around Binny's for the next week or two.

I talked to a beer guy at WF yesterday and he said all of Chicago isn't supposed to get other stuff for a couple months still, so don't get your hopes up. He could certainly end up being wrong, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

I kinda hope he's right. I've been waiting soooooo long for TG's good stuff that the anticipation might be too much for me.

Costco in Niles and Glenview got 40 cases. $49.99 a case canned 1/23. Only sold by the case.
Naperville, Lincoln park and oak brook have them on order.

Fine by me. I love picking up the "shitty" beer that others skip for shit like Madagascar, Special Sauce, etc. :grinning:

Still pantiently waiting for news on the bombers.

The last few batches of PS have been decent, but not as crisp and hoppy as i remember them.

New Field Museum labels for King Sue. Seems TG (Clark?) will be at the Field Museum tonight for an event as well. Hmm.

Last night when I was at the Edgewater neighborhood Whole Foods in Chicago, I saw they were selling 4 packs of Psuedo Sue for $11(this price will only make me look elsewhere for a 4 pack, sigh), but still no other Toppling Goliath beers yet. I know that probably is old news to certain others, but I've been busy the last few weeks and hadn't had a lot of time to shop for beers at various beer and liquor stores, so it was interesting to see myself. It was the new can design, with the Field Museum on it that others had posted pics of.

Have any other TG beers been spotted on shelves of IL stores just yet? I was hoping Rover Truck would be among the beers, that'd be sold in Illinois. Crossing my fingers, that Rover Truck is among the beers they plan to sell in IL. Had been enjoying the several TG beers I got my hands on in Kenosha stores, so the fact they're now selling in IL is nice. I hope it isn't always more expensive here vs. WI for TG beers(and as early rumors made me worry), or else it'd make me seriously consider continuing to only buy TG beers in WI.
