Only PseudoSue has hit Illinois shelves thus far. The original announcement (posted here) did mention Rover Truck as one of the five beers which will eventually hit our shelves so I think you'll be good.

In my experience, TG has been cheaper in WI than Iowa but that's mostly because of the distributors needing a cut of the profits. I assume the distro in Chicago is also pricey. $11 for a 4 pack of Sue is still definitely worth it though, imo.

Ah, I see. I was assuming Rover Truck would be among those beers seeing IL distribution, and thanks for confirming that! And also for confirming that Psuedo is the only one that's hit IL stores so far.

I took a look at this linked announcement, and I see it was silent if special releases(i.e. Light Speed, which I liked after I bought it at a Kenosha store) would also be distributed in IL. I'm hoping that while this announcement was silent about such releases, that they'd still find their way to IL stores. Who knows.

$11 doesn't kill me for a 4 pack of Psuedo, but IMO it'd be preferable if the price was $10.

Does anyone know if they're going to have any form of Sue on tap at the Field any time soon?

Perfect. It wasn't on before the event, so I wasn't sure.

Guess I know where to go on my next "work lunch."

I was at the Field Museum this morning. No King Sue, but the Tibetan exhibit is amazing. Hadn't seen that before.

Pseudo cans at the cafeteria were 9 bucks for onsite. 4 packs to go at $18. All seemed to be the 12/20 canning.

Is the Florida Sue really that different than the real stuff? Because I was really disappointed in the 4 pack I got.

Have seen regular Sue most places I go but can't bring myself to buy beer that is almost a month old (or more). Last few places I have been I usually buy something hoppy that is much fresher and can hang out in my mini for a couple weeks. To many good fresh beers around and hoping PS can be one of them someday,

I'd say quite a bit different. People will have opinons on how different but for my money, I'll fill up 2 growlers of the stuff in Decorah every time I pass through but after a couple of cans of PS (from FL), I haven't (and won't) pick up any more of those.

I haven't had bottled/tap Sue (hope to tomorrow, if it's still on at the Field Museum), but aside from everything else, given that the Decorah version is super hazy, I would assume it shares the nice mouthfeel that a lot of TG's bottled IPAs have.

Hey @SeanBond I just want to say that I'm sorry for doubting the extent of your complaints about the 12/5 batch of Pseudo-Sue. I realized I had two cans left in my fridge from the 4-pack I bought and I cracked them both tonight - they were awful. If I hadn't had prior good cans of pseudo-sue I'd never buy another can ...

The funny part is the reason I forgot about them is that I picked up another pack of Charlatan and was drinking that.

No worries man, it was very weird to me, too.

The two 4-packs I bought definitely lessened my excitement for the cans finally being in Chicago. Decorah canning can't come soon enough!
