Schell's Frost Hop Sampler Pack

It's definitely packaged…hoping to hear what some MN drinkers think before it hits shelves in central Iowa middle of next week. Really looking forward to this!

 

Just picked this up from my local store in North Dakota... very delicious. I particularly like the Helles. I would recommend to anybody considering buying. Keep up the good work, Schells!

 

2/4 in, I can confirm that this is indeed amazing.

Anyone that doesn't list Schells as the best brewery in the state must not enjoy beer.

Simply outstanding stuff.

 

And that's why I'm working through them before supper.

 

I'm pairing my Black Label with a cottage pie tonight, but look forward to pairing the Export with something sturdier and more region-centric.

 

Had the Helles and the Dortmunder last night. I couldn't tell that they were wet hopped (the process they used is about as close as you can get).
The Helles was pretty fantastic, although the hop aroma/flavor and hop bitterness seemed more like a German Pils to me.
The Dortmunder opened up as it warmed a little and by the end I was enjoying it, although not as much as the Helles. The first few sniffs and sips seemed a bit mineral heavy. <--- Possibly talking out of my ass on this. I'm not sure what it was.

I'll try to crack the Pils and Kolsch tonight.

 

These are great! Loved the export the best, nice change of pace from the heavy beers I've been drinking lately.

 

Loved the Pils, far and away my favorite song far. Helles was 2nd followed by the Dort. Haven't had the Kolsch yet.

 

The kolsch is very good. Having the helles right now, also amazing. Schells knows how to make a lager that's for sure.

 

Had all 4 last night and the pils was also my favorite. Really liked them all though. The pils had such a nice clean, bright bite.

 

Pilsner is very nice, great balance of dry yeast and hops with lightly sweet grainy bread malt, solid bitterness.

 

Pils is amazing. First and only this far. Lots of hops for a pils but well balanced. Super refreshing, one of the best pils I've had.

 

Finally got 1 of these. Will crack it open soon hopefully.

 

Worked my way through the entire sampler pack over the course of the past week. Hard to pin down a favorite as it kept changing from day to day. All incredibly solid renditions.

 

I am looking forward to this package.

 

Any leads on this in the NW metro? Haven't seen it around yet.

 

I got it at Golden Valley Liquor Barrel a week ago or so, and saw it today at the stl park liquor boy (west end).

 

Princeton's only had 1 case left as of Wednesday when I was there.

They only received 5 total from what I was told.
