New to Ohio (2017)

I'm originally from the Asheville area and Hi-Wire makes some really tasty stuff! Their hoppy beers are good, Stouts are tasty and Sours are awesome! Glad they are up here.

 

Fat Heads posted on Facebook that they tapped Hop Marauder at North Olmsted and that they'll be bottling it in the spring.

 

That will be cool! Basically a dank version of JuJu. It's very good.

 

I'll believe it when I see it #IBUsive...

 

IBUsive should be on tap very soon... in the tanks now.

 

I would guess distro shortly after the brewery release.

Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout is hitting Cincy today.

 

Anyone else try ugli ipa this weekend from platform? I thought it was fun, they played the haze card for a zest fest beer at heinens, paired nice with the weather we got this weekend. This beer was a good example of why I enjoy platform, they'll try smaller batches and make it readily available, and it's not terrible.

 

They actually came out and said no plans for distro on cans. Draft only.

Is Bodhi becoming more plentiful? Southland GE had no less than 7 cases today.

 

No. It sounds like the right qtys are not being delivered to the right places, apparently.

 

They are keeping up with demand, but it is still moving everywhere I see it (as in gone by the next bottling). Seems like the bigger accounts (grocery stores) keep taking a lot of smaller shops share

 

No I'd say that's about right. It's getting tiring chasing 4pks. I like being able to pick them up during my grocery shopping trip. Although me 4 years ago would disagree with present day me and call me an old man who just doesn't get it.

 

Seeing how everyone buys a case at a time that means 7 people get bodhi from that location.

 

Bodhi is definitely more plentiful at the grocery stores. TBH, I'd rather buy some at Kroger without hunting at each bottle shop for it.

If only Hop Juju were the same way...

 

It was probably a one time screw up. They usually seem to get one case a week, or so.

 

Well, I didn't buy any today, so it's all still there. I might go back tomorrow though and snag a 4 pack or two.

 

I've bought Bodhi many, many times since they started bottled and have never once bought more than two 4-packs. Not everyone is looking to hoard. It's easy enough to find.
