Never said it was promised to me but, at one point, it looked like it was going to be available to GA plus bottle ticket holders. Then the insta post from Wakefield's personal account mentioned "complaints" and the chance to get it, at least for GA tix holders, decisively went away.

Yeah, GA ticket holders should've gotten the chance to purchase what some are considering one of the best beers ever made with a 300 bottle count. Why should the VIPs who waited in line for 8+ hours get the chance to buy the bottle?

Only stating facts my bro. Would have been great if all (both GA and VIP) could have gotten the chance to buy. Don't know what line you waited in for 8 hours but; if you did that, then I really hope you got the beers you wanted. Cheers

Spot on. Last year's event was phenomenal (pay as you go - free entry) and this one exceeded all expectations. There were only 2 lines (Toppling Goliath and 3 Sons) I personally waited in for about 10 minutes each. What stood out to me was that walking up to the Cantillon tent and drinking Fou Foune back to back to back as there was no line for it. An incredible event. Amazing, beers everywhere. Well-run and organized and the best beer event in South Florida - hands down. I tip my cap to the Wakefield crew and volunteers!

As mentioned earlier, it was included in the VIP bottle package. Then, there was a second possibility to get it. There was an additional bottle package available (to GAs for sure and I suspect VIPs could also purchase it) which included: Golden Ticket, Desperado, and Pi.

So if it was never promised... You didn't get screwed. Exactly my point. Haha.

Because you are unhappy you didn't get the bottle... Doesn't automatically equate to anyone being screwed. From the beginning all bottles were subject to change.

VIP ticket purchase at the brewery is what he's referring to.

Those that waited... I believe got to try those big poppa variants as well. But someone can confirm that.

Great event. Label us, all a dream, and bake are easily three of the best stouts I've ever had.

You are confused. There was a point where it looked like GA was going to be able to buy Label Us Notorious. Then the "complaints" and the subsequent Insta post resulting in no possibility for GA to buy Label Us Notorious - which was unfortunate, to me, but "oh well" as I stated in my original post. I can only speak for myself regarding feeling screwed (disappointed, sad, all the same thing in this context) but it looks like you are an authority on how others think and feel and good for you.

Please post more "babes" we are much friendlier you and I on the Insta as opposed to here where semantics are getting the better of this discussion. Cheers bro!

Your original words are "I got screwed". But you didn't. That all I said.

There is no need for you to be so defensive about that. You want to throw shade, and make assumptions about what I'm an "authority on" ..... That's your assumption. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Again, you are confused and struggle to comprehend. No assumptions - just facts and using your own words against you my bro. You seem to know more about me than what I know of myself and this is fine but perhaps take this line of discussion to a different forum as this is a beer website. Cheers bro! And more babes :grinning:

Something that hasn't been mentioned was the food at Wakefest. I can't comment on the food trucks but the food in the VIP area was outstanding. That Paella was the best thing I ate on my trip

Awesome to see. The food scene in Miami is excellent -- that paella was from Chef Aaron Brooks of Edge at the Four Seasons. Great guy and you'll see him at a lot of culinary-focused events here in Miami.

The guys at Taquiza do tacos as good or better than most you'd find in Mexico. While they were doing sliders this time, the braised pork he made for them was perfect.

Yep, we got to try Bake Kujira (maple cali blend version) and IWAAD (which may be the best beer I've ever tasted). I mean realistically all 3 of these versions are in my top 5

Had such an awesome time the entire trip. Stopped at Funky Buddha on the way down from FLL. They have one of the best goses I've ever had on tap.

Wakefest was so great, ended up like 4th in line to get in for VIP and just ran around like mad men, I had so much of that paella, holy shit was it great. Bottle line at the end was a little rough but you can expect that when everyone wants to leave at once I guess. Cheers and thanks to Johnathan and the rest of the crew. Definitely hope we can get tickets again for next year.

Those who recommended eating at Kush, you the real MVPs. One of the best meals I've had in awhile and great service. Somehow I ended up with guac in my belly button the next morning..

Can someone summarize the anniversary/VIP bottle release? How many per person? How much was the cost? Sorry, but I went back 5-6 pages and there is a lot of info, but I don't see bottle limits per person and only some limited info.

was it just these bottles released in the last month or so?
Golden Ticket- Imperial Stout with chocolate, coconut, caramel and sea salt

Pi (Collaboration with Bottle Logic) - Bourbon barrel-aged strong ale with Key Lime and Vanilla Bean

Label Us Notorious - Calvados barrel-aged imperial stout with coffee, coconut and vanilla

It Was All A Dream (BA Big Poppa) - Maple syrup bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with Jamaican blue mountain coffee, coconut and vanilla

Desperado - Russian imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with cassia, ancho chiles and cocoa nibs
