I drop $30or so dollars in the Beachwood BBQ raffle every year. Haven't won yet, but I mainly do it to support a good cause... I find it unlikely that one TIPA is going to change my life, expand my consciousness, take me to an astral plane, [insert whatever anyone expects to happen here], etc.

Back from BT's in HB and I will say this.....have not had this years Younger or the last 4+ years. But this years BW's Hops of Fury is beyond greatness. So smooth. Had half pours of Knee Deep West Side till I DiePA and ESBC Level 1 DIPA and first thing I tasted was the ABV's in both. No high (11%) from BW's HoF. But it will hit you at the end. Glad I had my BF & DD with me today. #drinkindependant

David, I have had both PtY and HOF recently, IMHO I liked HOF more than the 2017 vintage of the Younger, you know they tweaked the Younger recipe this year adding two more hops to the blend. I thought the nose was muted, and the flavor profile wasn't that typical explosive in your face hop assault.

    Cheers,

That's their official tapping . . . I think they did an additional, impromptu one yesterday for the sake of regulars/locals. Sound right, @Lingenbrau?

First I've heard. Considering their love, loyalty, and dependency of their locals it would not surprise me though. Might be worth the ten minute drive for me to find out :grinning:!

    Edit: oh... yesterday. Bummer.

Slightly related: Did Mediterraneo in Hermosa get rid of Blind Pig for good? Been going for a few years and it's always on. Wasn't this past Friday (overall beer and food menu seemed to get a bit smaller too).

I've never been there, but in general I've noticed a decline in availability over the last couple of years as well. Hollingshead's in Orange used to always have Blind Pig and PtE on tap, and now seems much more infrequent. Growing in popularity equals growing in scarcity I guess. Good thing we have the best beer scene in the world to make up for it ! Cheers

Tustin isn't getting BP either. Maybe they should do a BP event with suprise kegs?

I think (hope) Selma's in RSM is. I'll probably go the day after the PtY event just to save me from the headache, as it's usually there through week. They usually do, but we'll see.

BP is very scarce these days. I think last time I seen it pop up on TapHunter was at Haven in Orange. BWSB used to have Elder on tap at least twice a month. BP would probably show up 3-5 times a year. You can forget about BP bottles. Elder bottles are still available at certain places. Maybe because of the overwhelming draft available these days there's no need to have Elder on all the time. If I really want my RRBC fix I'll just go straight to the source.
