Man...if they did multiple BHA releases a year...

 

BHA was one of my top 3 beers from HA last year. That, Dungeons IPA (for some reason I loved that one) and Deep Space were all awesome.

I wasn't around for the release of BHA but @kdawgmoney and I did a trade: his BHA for my Galaxy DH PseudoSue. Totally worth it. (wasn't really a trade, as we do shares all the time. More of just exchanging with the other person something that they missed).

 

Man, we're talking about one off IPA cans from Half Acre, plus canned DDC and BHA? Add in the fact that they started bottling some BA stuff in the past year, and I can't think of anyone coming close to them in the city. And I enjoy Pipeworks and Revolution quite a bit.

Agreed. I really feel like this is Half Acre taking The Next Step (TM).

A couple years from now, we'll all laugh about how there was a time when our fridges weren't entirely filled with various fresh half acre cans.

 

Then we will remember they didn't always have year round BHA and will stop laughing.

All this HA love and no Heyoka/Senita/Gone Away mentions...

 

In fairness I think Goneaway gets plenty of love usually. I'm just more focused on one-offs and BHA. But yeah, Goneaway is great too.

 

My fridge will be lined with Tree House and Local Hero for epic nightly battles. I don't know what you're talking about

Speaking of cans, Half Acre's teaming up with the Lincoln Square Friendship Center food pantry this weekend. Bring in canned goods and get a free pint of Daisy Cutter.

I wish HA would continue to add to their download page. I need Squid Owl in 4k and updated GDDC wallpapers.

 

Goneaway is cool but the warm weather this weekend was a reminder that Vallejo is coming soon...

 

I can't even worry about that right now, given the shit that HA has coming up!

 

I look fordward to that beer every summer. Basically defines Chicago Warm Weather season.

 

I absolutely HATE Equinox hops with all of my heart. Why anyone would choose to use this god forsaken weed in a beer is beyond me.

In all serious, yes, I hate it. All I get is an overwhelming green onion taste. If it was in Animal Law, then sure, I didn't mind it (because I couldn't tell). But there is no beer with overwhelming Equinox hops that wasn't also shared with my kitchen sink.

I'll give this beer a try on draft before deciding whether to buy a 4-pack.

 

If they ever make an IPA like their bros at Tired Hands, then maybe I'll reserve some fridge space for them. But I like that they're at least trying new, smaller batch, brewery-only releases.

 

What are the chances of Topanga Gulch lasting through the weekend? I get to Chicago Sunday evening and probably couldn't make it out to Half Acre until Monday.
