But if you only get one ticket, how do you scalp the other for huge profit then awkwardly stand next to the poor sap for hours?

I brought up the idea to my wife of her going with me...that didn't get a good response. Maybe if I tell her we could make a few hundred bucks on the extra BA variant and sell it...and then never sell it.

 

(His wife is a new mail order bride every year who just happened to get DLD tickets before he proposed)

 

My wife came last year and had a blast even with the weather. She wants to go again this year. I hit the lottery.

 

I think anyone trying that plan this year might be screwed.

 

I tried to convince my wife to go with me by assuring her it was better people watching than the Las Vegas airport on a Sunday night. It still didn't work!

 

You COULD always just buy the second one and then give the extra to a fellow BA. It's always nice to give me a backup pla...I mean, build beer karma!

Never been to dark lord day before. Does anyone know if they sell tickets at the brewery along with online? If they do sell at the brewery, do they sell multiple days and is it easier to get them there or online?

 

They usually pick a seemingly random day and they say an hour before tickets go on sale "come down the brewery and buy a ticket". They usually last into the afternoon.

 

They do sell them at the brewery but it's really to give the close by locals a chance to attend the event. It's one per person at that point and it's usually released at the brewery very early (6 or 7AM) on a random day with maybe an hour head notice. You will have better luck trying to score tickets on-line.

 

Ah got it. Does this announcement usually come from their website? If I live about an hour and 20 mins away, would that be doable to still be able to snag one from the Brewery if i'm able to go?

 

I believe for in-person sale, the announcement will come from 3Floyds and/or DarkLordDay twitter account. Don't know how long tickets last for that because I've never gone for in-person.

 

I remember people were going at lunch time last year and were still able to get a ticket. Also, keep in mind its limit 1 per person and only the person buying the ticket's name could be on it. So you couldn't like go get one for a friend.
