The canning date is 2/1 and it was $49.99.

I actually liked the 2/1 cans but that's just me :grinning:

If cans from Feb. weren't still fresh, I'd be pretty sad.

I am starting to see KS pop up on the local trade threads...any whiff of it hitting Chicago yet?

TG was at an event at Field last weekend and mentioned on Twitter about bringing some King Sue bottles. I had no idea if that meant that they'd be pouring them at the event or for sale, and was kinda surprised I didn't see anything about it on here. Anyone know how that went down?

Was at The Field for the first event but not the second. Either way King Sue has never been this good! Pure Citra heaven here! Only ever missed one batch before but its never, ever been quite this juicy. It continued on track from the last batch of DDH Citra Sue (which was insane in its own right) but amped up on steroids!! Long live the King

I really do go to Tenuta's in Kenosha for the Italian market items.
But this is a nice bonus! (Wednesday 2/22)

Do you know what the prices are for DDH PsuedoSue? I iust saw that King Sue was being sold for $27.99 per bottle. Seems a bit excessive, but was wondering if all of their TG beers are priced high or just King Sue.

I don't know DDH Sue specifically but from my one experience there everything is more expensive not just TG.

Cans seem to be getting fresher and fresher in Chicago...first batch I got like a month ago were canned in a December and when I stopped by the convenience store under my apartment building the cans were dated about a month ago. Almost seems like they were getting rid of old stock at first. Also, there is a ton of it around the city.

Yeah, they're pushing all of their old stuff up to Madison/WI now instead of Chicago. Went to some of the bottleshops and the latest date I could find was 1/5. I'm not too upset though because I've definitely drank my fair share of Sue and I also just got some King from a trip to Iowa.

BTW, I hope you guys get this batch of King. It truly is great, and probably the best batch of it I've had.

Anyone know: are they distributing anything other than PS here? That is all I see, but do enjoy Rover Truck.

Lol, sounds like they are gouging the last bit of IL folks before they realize the WI monopoly on TG is over...

14.99 for DDH. There was none when I went this past Tuesday. Avoid that place if possible.

The Cheese Castle puts higher prices on ALL items - how much do you want to pay for convenience?
I get my cheese curds and New Glarus beers at Woodmans, and head to Tenuta's for all Toppling Goliath.

That was just at Mars Cheese Castle. Everywhere else it was $9-10

    $27.99 for King Sue?! :grimacing:

pretty sure I paid $8 back in late October on a trip to Wisconsin, although I had to by 1 non-pseudoSue TG 4pk to be able to buy it. but still. maybe i just got lucky.

but its a fantastic beer. i would love to have more, but i have to patiently wait for distro (and probably fight off some FIBs too) if it ever makes it out here.

Kind of off topic, but if you find yourself up that way for cheese or sausage, go to the Bobby Nelson cheese shop instead of the cheese castle. It is about half a mile up the road and so much cheaper. No beer, but solid, solid food.
