Threes Brewing in Brooklyn?

Stopped by their pop up in Greenpoint. Nice spot for a beer if you're in the area.

 

i just wish people would get this bonkers about the local breweries we have in NYC as they do for say TH, trillium and alchemist.

 

After reading about the complaints - beer geeks are the worst. Does it always have to be about getting that rare tick? So you missed out on a particular beer - what's wrong with drinking other great beer and hanging out with friends? Maybe even beer bong a Bud and live alittle.

 

I hear you about the gripes but at age 45, I think I'll "live a little" longer by NOT funneling beer anymore, thanks!

 

overall it was exactly wha ti expected
I was able to chat w the Treehouse reps there who were awesome folks. They let me know when they made the Bright cans available which was great
excellent beer, really nice ppl, incredible prices given the cans, food was great

I agree that not releasing the can list would be a good measure to take

 

Just having my first unreliable narrator and man this beer is great. In a sea of DIPAs and DDH IPAs this beer really brings an immense Amount of flavor and mouthfeel for a single IPA. Ooh yea.

 

I know the bar opens at noon but does anyone know what time they'll start selling cans to go at the Shop?

 

I could be wrong, but when I picked my SFY up during the preorder time, it seemed like they were available for regular purchase too.

 

Instagram post from today says walk-in sales start at 5 PM for today's release. Otherwise, the Shop usually opens at noon with the bar.

 

I thought the bar didn't open until 3?

 

I think last time I was there you could only buy cans at The Shop- anyone know if that's still true?

 

Good call. I've only ever gone there on Sat/Sun, when it opens at noon. Hours from the website:

Bar Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 5pm to 12pm
- Thursday: 5pm to 2am
- Friday: 3pm to 2am
- Saturday: 12pm to 2am
- Sunday: 12pm to 12am

 

Anyone try one of the triple IPAs yet? Bought a 4 pack yesterday, but thinking this might be a beer that needs a week or 2 before drinking

 

Had it last night. Not boozy at all. Crack one now and save the rest for comparison

I'd take an Other Half/Interbro/Greenpoint/Finback/KCBC/Threes can over a Heady any day.

 

Indeed, I was more referring to treehouse and trillium.

 

I get that. People get hyped about things that they can't easily get. The event was my first time trying Treehouse and Veil beers so I was excited. I wouldn't say they are that much better though, just different.
