I feel like info on tappings came out late last year too. Hopefully we'll see some postings by this weekend with tappings starting sometime next week if it's similar to previous years.

:-( Just my luck. Wish I would have known about this 56 minutes ago. I would run right over to Belmont station instead of going for an afternoon walk over to Deschutes. Oh well... hopefully will have better luck elsewhere in town.

I'm at Belmont and it's 6pm. Younger still flowing and basically no crowd. This......is encouraging.

People are definitely here and interested but not even close to a shit show

As usual it is excellent, but plenty of homegrown NW IIIPAs that are just as good or better. The nose is really nice though

Yeah, got my first PtY at Belmont this afternoon. I really enjoyed it, but agree I've had as good or better from the PNW.

And not busy at all when I was there, 3:30ish.

It's great that some (many?) people find certain beers better than PtY. Yet better or worse, PtY is the gold standard by which all others of the style are measured. They were the first as far as I know and by far the best for many years and still is IMO. Can't wait to have it again I hope. I won't be in PDX & environs until March 4. Here's hoping it's lingering around somewhere then. Preferably that place nobody goes to on the coast.

Larry. To the best of my knowledge, this is the most current information regarding younger availability in Oregon:

Would love to do a tasting of Younger, Notorious, Waldo, and Melvin's Lambda all together.

I hope you get to try it, as I would be interested in hearing your impression of this year's version. Outside of last year, I think I've been able to try Younger every year over the past decade. In my experience, it's a bit different every year, though always still good. This year's version stuck me as a bit more bitter than previous vintages, with a bit less sweetness to counter the bitterness. Alcohol seemed to be a bit more noticeable as well. Still an excellent beer as always, but I'm not sure the version I had this year was one of my favorites (the 2013 version you last had was especially excellent, as I recall).

Yeah it was. So good in fact my wife liked it and she doesn't like beer. I thought she was just ordering it for me until she slapped my hand for presuming to drink it. This year, Bro-in-law, nephew & I along with wives & nephews GF renting a house at Pacific City & hoping to stumble on something good.

Well, you saw the list of places that got a keg of younger, so it could happen. :-)

    Good luck!

I think that's pretty close to standard pricing for younger here in PDX, and is not much higher than what you would pay for the beer down at RR. Beermongers was charging $7 for an 8 ounce glass I believe.

I agree with you though... A dollar an ounce is a lot to have to pay for a glass of younger.

(though if memory serves, I think that's what the Apex charges for a glass of Notorious)
