    I really do hope that he makes it right and sends a box because in the end it really is just trivial. I checked trade references for him (as I did with all the guys in the league) and everyone was good with him (even his most recent trade partner who I talked to). I guess he doesn't like sending out a box without getting anything in return; but, if you aren't willing to pay the price if you lose then don't bet. People like that always lose more in the long haul than they do in the short term.

    And still nothing from him by either BM or text @Badfish

    @blue-dream I'm not looking to ruin anyone's life over approximately $50 worth of beer but is there a way to tag his actual name as a bad trader instead of just a Username (obviously in case he makes another profile)?....or does all of that link up somehow?.....Probably not because then all of that gets into personal information territory but I was just wondering.

    In the end his most recent trade partner @jeffgott was interested in taking his place in the league! :slight_smile:

    And yet this is a recurring theme in the BT forum. I completely agree with you, and it's just mind blowing to me that this BT (and others like him) are willing to risk and give up so much for so little.

    He also seems to be fairly active on BA, and has engaged in a fair number of trades on BA. Yet if he doesn't make this right, that's all going to come to an end. All just so that he can weasel out of a $50 debt for a lost wager?

    I don't get it.

    If he *posts* anywhere on the site, including a conversation, the *bad trader* banner will appear with his avatar on the top right corner where *beer trader*, *subscriber*, etc are shown.



    @CapCollector16 You can continue to peruse the site at your leisure, which you seem to be enjoying at the current moment.....But until this is resolved....The *bad trader* tag will never go away.

    I belive, and correct me someone if im wrong but when you click on his name and the pop up comes up, there is nothing about him being a bad trader.

    Just a curiosity on my end as these "Bad BIFer" issues seem to come up frequently in the season long type fantasy sports BIFs. Was this issue in any way addressed early when he didn't show up for the draft (auto drafted) and I'm thinking he didn't manage his team in any way? I personally think these issues are far better addressed in the early stages of the season with a non lactive league participant. If the guy was upset because of the draft and didn't actively participate it should have been addressed early on. Was this addressed earlier in the season?

    Another suggestion for the future is to use a website with an upfront cash ante that gets refunded after the season when participants meet their shipping obligations. (We used LeagueSafe for s league I participated in here on BA.).

    @johnyb As you know since you've been in this league before, the draft date and time is known well ahead of time. I had even texted Cap at the start of the draft (along with another guy) to let them know the draft was happening as they weren't online, which he responded to.

    I'm not sure if you're hinting that this is my fault somehow but I personally have no idea if he was participating daily or not because I don't look at anyone's team daily to check their lineup, nor should I have to. It probably isn't until close to halfway into a roto league season anyway that you really start to look at other people's teams for trades or whatever and at that point, who the hell would take over a team halfway in the season? Even though he did miss the draft, he had added and dropped players a month into the season so it's not like he never checked in on his team at all. He also never expressed to me that he was upset at any point throughout the season. The first time he ever said he was "salty" was far after the season ended and it was time to pay up. If he was upset, HE should have told me right away and I could have probably worked something out.

    I've been in many leagues before and even guys that fall off at the halfway point because their team isn't playing great or their life got in the way, have paid up because they entered into that commitment at the start of the season. People need to be held accountable for their actions/obligations and that's all there is to it.

    I do like the idea of LeagueSafe though so thanks for the heads up on that.

    It just seems to amaze me that @CapCollector16 is on this site way to much to not care. Why say your going to play Fantasy and then just not do it. Then even if he played at least one week then he should have to pay his way and send the box.
