If I was trying to sell beer - I wouldn't target the hard core line-waiters, tickers, Untapped/Instagram haze crowd. They will never be satisfied and they do not seem to have any brand loyalty. There's a probably a much larger group of beer drinkers looking for dependable solid beer - and they are not just IPA drinkers.

This is more the direction I was leading @TongoRad & @Squire123 -- those who claim connoisseurship, but don't really know a Pale Ale from a Pilsner.

Fan is too positive and polite. Not sure where "crafties" is derived.

We had some guests over the holidays and a delightful young lady went with me on a beer run. On the way she told me she "loved IPAs" and her "favorite IPA is Shiner Christmas Beer".

Reminds me of the co-worker from years past whose favorite beer was IPA, but she hated bitter beers. :grinning: (turned out that the bitterness she really disliked was from highly roasted malt, not hops)

Well, 'crafty' came from the Brewers Association, along with the blacklist and a very limited focus on beer. May as well use a derivative, only turned back their way.

Love Keller but its always old if I even see it......make it seasonal......

Stout is really good.....NEVER see it......Had to special order last fall......

12 pack cans of Hop Hunter please.......Its always pretty old when I see it

I really like SN beers. Prices in PA suck but I am ok grabbing them when in NJ or DE at much better prices $38 plus tax a case vs $13.99 ,no tax in DE for a 12 pack.

    Enjoy

Would like to get @sierranevadabill take on some of our advice here haha. Overall i know they are good at market evaluation and will add lagers when there is a long term trend in that direction. Though the bigger you are the slower you are to react plays a part also.

Regardless, she's in luck. Today's IPAs really aren't all that bitter.

This was probably over 10 years ago, and it was the hop bitterness that she liked, so she'd actually be out of luck. Nonetheless, there are plenty of bitter IPAs to be found on shelves -- even from SN.

I do think that a lot of SN beers are already a month or two old when they hit our area. I remember getting a 12 pack of Celebration the week it got distributed and it was already two months old. Not sure if thats on them or the distributor though.

Id love to see a fall or winter pack that included a scotch ale, if they couldnt make the scotch ale available on its own in 6 packs.

The most recent Snowpack included a Maple Scotch Ale. The maple was pretty muted...

It varies a lot store to store. The large discount retailers can go as low as $7.99 a 6 pack or 14.99 a 12 pack. Usually SNPA goes for $8.99 - $10. 99 a 6.

I am a bit confused. Do you think the new format (i.e., 12-pack cans) equates to fresher product?

    Cheers!
