I did. Their description was off though, think they got it mixed up with Soft Parade. My wife was pleasantly surprised at how tart it was. Damn good beer.

Next month is looking pretty good with Goodnight Bodacious, Cat's Pajamas, The Curl, and Publican Porter. I can't for the Publican Porter because I really liked the Bourbon Publican from the stache last year.

Does anyone happen to know what independant accounts in Michigan will be carrying Publican Porter and Chief Hopper?

I was curious about that too. I asked my local place but they never got back to me. I kinda hope the store list ends up on the Short's website like the Cat Grass release last year. I also wonder if a place like Plum Market woukd carry it since there's only 4 or 5 locations (I think). Holiday market is only 2, Royal Oak and Canton, so they might qualify.

Yeah those were the exact stores I was thinking of. If Holiday market in Canton does carry it then there wont be much and might be limited to a 2-3 bottle limit. They normally don't get much and in the past have only got small allotments like 6 bottles of bourbon Huma, a case of wishful, 5 or 6 hoppy holiday packs, case of kind ale with 3 bottle limit and normally only get around 4 cases of each Short's release.

I also hope there is a little bit more to go around than there was of the Cat grass because I was only able to get 2 bottles and that stuff was way too good and fresh to only have two bottles. At least it sounds like there will be a lot more Cat Grass to go around this year since it will be great lakes distro.

Already bought Chief Hopper, was suprised to find it before Cats Pajamas. And tonight found Irish Red bottles, had no clue it was going to be bottled since its not on the release schedule. Either way I'm glad I got my hands on these beers, but the Irish Red has me confused since I've heard absolutely nothing about it. A pleasant suprise that taste great!

Gotta admit, I find this kind of post frustrating.

If you can spill, spill; if not, don't tease us!!!!

If it's not "Short's opens brewpub in Livonia area," I dont wanna hear it.

Oh and official release notice from Short's :

"If the thought of your favorite feline wearing pajamas doesn’t immediately intrigue you, the flavor of this Double India Pale Ale is sure to make your tastebuds dance! Best described as the love child of Anniversary Ale and Freedom of ‘78, Cat’s Pajamas is brewed with a “YUGE” amount of Blood Orange and guava. Originally brewed for our friends at HopCat, six-packs of Kitty PJs are now headed your way.

Cat’s Pajamas (9.0% ABV – 71 IBU) is a Double IPA brewed with Blood Orange and guava. This India Pale Ale is pale orange in color with big aromas of sweet, tropical fruit. Cat’s Pajamas is balanced with flavors of sweet fruit and bitter hops and has a resinous, mouth coating feel. High in ABV, this beer finishes dry with a bit of warmth.

If you’re into sweet, fruity, resiny IPA’s, this is the DIPA for you! In fact, we’re so sure the Short’s-i-verse will be digging this beer, we’ve brewed up enough to ship kegs and cases to stores throughout our expanded distribution footprint (Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin). But don’t delay, this SBC specialty is sure to scurry off store shelves in a hurry!

Warning: Drinking Cat’s Pajamas may lead to a strong desire to dance like a cat while wearing pajamas. Although we highly encourage said behavior…"

A cross between Anni and 78? Hell yes! Gives me an idea for later this year....

cats pajamas is rather odd to me. i am not getting much smell from the glass, but i get a big hit of blood orange on the front end and some earthy, bitter hops on the back end. pretty complex beer.

really like the tongue coating and feel.

    mine are bottled 2/8

Haven't gotten it yet. That's the release picture they used. But if Meijer is charging 15.69 for a six, I'm pretty sure my local place is gonna tack another buck or two to the price. They usually get shipments Tuesday.

Where did you find Hopper and Irish Red at?

There seems to be a few unannounced soft drops these last couple months. Local place by me had a couple packs of Chocolate Wheat sitting out last week.

I found a bunch of the Irish Red at the D&W in East GR. All single bottles in a aisle basket thing. It was weird.

I'm at Busch's in Livonia and holy cow, if anyone wants Hopstache there's 7 cases, 11 six packs of Aorta Ale, and quite a few cases of Critterless. Also, Cup A Joe and a random six pack of Juicy Tree.
