Both wife and I got shutout. Both using the app. Got bottles in cart a few times each, but every time we went to pay it said they were sold out. Pretty annoying, especially since I thought Ground State would last a bit. Oh well.

Seems like some people are saying they had better luck on the website this time rather than on the phone app.

I still don't understand how it doesn't claim the bottles when you put in the cart, yet at 6 min after a bunch of bottles fall out of carts. Those two things seem contradictory.

Yeah the whole 6 minute thing makes zero sense. If it doesn't hold there is nothing to drop lol

It's because the website holds the bottles, but the mobile does not.

I was on mobile and I had a 6 min time to purchase bottles. So that doesn't make sense. Either way I maxed out n got my bottles.

I was just going on what I was told. Glad you got bottles though!

Bottle Logic's own post and some research indicates Eventbrite uses a waiting room set up where as long as you complete the purchase within six minutes AND the requested number of bottles are still available (i.e. your fellow neckbeards in the waiting room didn't buy all the bottles already) you are allowed to complete your order. The number of people allowed into the waiting room must be greater than the number of max allotments and is probably closer to the number of total bottles available.

None of the detail is spelled out anywhere but this is the only explanation that makes sense. @SDReaper knows about these things and might be able to shed some more light on all of this.

One of my biggest pet peeves about this process, when reading the comments on instagram, is Bottle Logic will fix mistyped/incorrect information (DL number or DOB). I understand accidents happen, but seems a bit unfair to people who take the time to ensure information is inputted correctly then end up not being quick enough to grab bottles.

In the comments on instagram on release days, I see people commenting that they misentered drivers license numbers or date of births. Bottle Logic usually responds saying something along the lines of "send us an email with order confirmation and we will fix it". Again I understand accidents happen and if I found myself in the same situation I would hope Bottle Logic would help accomodate my error, but as previously mentioned, seems unfair to people ensuring information is 100% correct before placing the order.

It just seems like a loophole people can exploit - mistyping their information for sake of speed and then correcting the problem later. In situations where every second counts, seems unfair to those who take the time to make sure everything is correct.

I always only have to input my dl#, everything else is saved. Ive had my dl# memorized for a long freaking time. I'm 99.999% sure I got it right when I enter it and only takes a split second to double check. I can't get onboard with the crowd that double checked their Info which caused them to miss out.

Same. Unfortunately the sale is done and over with, and folks know what they need to have on hand for the next sale, which is pretty much the same information that is needed with every ticketed release.

Often with these tickets, it's a lotto, you dont win them every single time.

I've missed typed my DL before and omitted a digit. Didn't mention it to BL and they didn't say anything either when I picked up. Even though Eventbrite asks for DL, I think they're usually paying more attention to the name than the number on the DL.

A mistype for the sake of speed would have to be so blatantly off from the actual ID# that I can't imagine Bottle Logic would be willing to fix such an error.

Dang, even though I'm a little bummed I struck out on the last online sale Sunday, Bottle Logic is doing everything right, logistically speaking. An online can release with a 1-2 day pickup window is certainly proving to the local market that it can be done. Kudos to them.

"No tickets are necessary to attend, everyone is welcome! This will be the easiest and most festive opportunity to pick up your purchases!"

LOL... unlike another brewery in the area charging people for the privilege to stand in line all day... :grimacing:

I imagine that they're just clarifying despite the fact it's a release party with "tickets" to pick up your beers, you do not need a ticket to join in on the release party. Same idea as Modern Times's release days.
