I believe that a 3 roller mill will mill a bit quicker and would be worth the extra money. I've got a Barley Crusher. I had a hard time dialing in the crush. Once it's locked in it's fine for 10 gal batches driven by a drill. Others should chime in on the Monster Mill etc.

    Best or best ROI?

A 6 roll miller will always be best, but will be much more expensive. I would go minimum 3 roller for commercial.

For home, I think the Cereal Killer is the best ROI. It's inexpensive and imho, it's not worth the added cost for the better ones. It's close enough and much more inexpensive.

We use a Crankandstein 328D for our 3bbl system and can mill 200lbs of grain in about 10 minutes. It's a quality mill and we have had nothing but good things to say about it. You do have to build your own hopper and motorize it which was sort of a pain to figure out.

I'm curious have you had a problem with the rubber band (for lack of the official term) that drives the second roller breaking? It did on mine and only I roller rolls now. It still crushes but not as well and it kinda annoys me that it broke so easily.

Yep, it's gone. From the little I've read the o-ring breaks on your first pound of grain every time. I'm not sure if they make something a little more fortified, but I'm just getting by with the one roller spinning directly from the crankshaft. If I tighten the crush too much I run into issues with the grain not feeding into the rollers. It took a while to adjust the crush to right were I want it, but if that's too much of an issue I can always just feed the grain through for a second pass.

I use the Cereal Killer, purchased from Adv. in Homebrewing. Got it for a sale price, don't recall exactly, but it was the least expensive 2 roller mill I could find and I got it discounted, and I think it has served me well.
