Re-posting the last part of my message just so it doesn't get buried.

That said, in all seriousness, these are non-transferable I assume? People were posting ISOs on their FB post. Is that a thing?

Kinda. There are no physical front of line passes everyone is just on a list. So technically if you got 2 one is transferrable the person just needs to enter with you

Except that doing a lottery requires resources (time and effort on the part of the employees) at the time when the brewery is gearing up for their busiest time of year. If you've been by the tasting room this week, you'd know that they are already fielding tons of phone calls and messages via email/social media (and people asking in person) about everything and anything related to TBBW and Hunahpu Day. It's too the point it affects their ability to serve the people that are there to get a beer or buy bottles.

And if you've been paying attention to the El Catador sign ups, you'll have noticed there is another issue with lotteries. Once you draw names you then have to communicate out to those people (which for El Cat was being done manually one email at a time) and give them a window to decided to purchase it or not. And then you gave to do another round (and another and another) till you get the number of people needed to sell out. There probably isn't enough time, this close to the event, for them to do enough lotteries to find people wanting to drop an extra $50 for 15 minutea of extra access.

And finally...not sure how this "helps their bottom line" when it's for charity. It's not like CCB is pocketing this 5k as profit, it's all being donated to good cause. Another reason why they probably want to do it in a quickest and most labor/cost efficient method possible.

Many lotteries, e.g. Hill Farm's collective works, takes your credit card at the time of registering for the lottery and (only) charges you if you win. So there's no second lottery, and you only enter if you're sure. This doesn't seem more complicated as that is all automated, but I don't know much about anything.

And thanks @Fsu2010 for the info.

That would just give Sweetwater and Terrapin more shelf space to Turd up.

Unoriginal and weak. Heard it all before. Does not address any point I made.

CCB was lazy on this, period.

I wouldn't have minded if it went out in an email, but honestly I would've missed out anyway since I was busy working. I think Grandpa Joe and I will have plenty of fun, even going in at the regular time.

How was it lazy? They have a hundred ticket to sell. They sold. They accomplished their goal in less than 5 minutes. They don't have to go above and beyond and be convenient for you.

How is selling out of tickets indicative of non-laziness?

Because I'm not addicted to scrolling endlessly through cat memes and fake news I should have my access and awareness to special accessibility to an event I'm attending limited?

It was lazy per all of the rational comments above. Nothing new to say about it. Can't quote the above descriptive comments enough. Why keep dragging this out?

I don't understand the urge of the internet to try to convince annoyed people to not be annoyed, it never ends if you keep egging it on.

I agree, I still would have missed it. I don't understand why the fuck people are so defensive of the existence and use of social media. Social media is dumb as shit, why the fuck is it so personal to the rest of you all that I think it's dumb as shit?

Isn't this site a form of social media? Instead of following messages put out by the actual brewery that is putting on the event, you're scrolling through a forum giving 2nd hand and sometimes made up information on said event... while complaining about the brewery...makes sense

No, this isn't the same as social media. This is an anonymous forum.

Again, the brewery already has attendees' personal information--blasting the entire world with information that isn't relevant to them is lazy. Period.

Except I addressed your points and an erroneous statement you made and you just ignored my post.

You continue to claim that this was laziness by CCB and that it some how served their bottom line. You continue to overlook the fact that this is to benefit a charity and CCB is not making any money off of it. All the proceeds from the early acess tickets goes to help fight pediatric cancer.

So please...continue with your self entitled BS about how CCB should have spent the resources (time and money) to do a lottery or emailed every single ticket holder just because you missed out.
