Most places I've seen have been charging $10.99 for a bomber of King Sue which I would gladly pay every time. There are the outliers though like the one place selling for $20 but if you look, that place is a bar first, bottle shop second. As long as we don't get more places like the Council Bluffs Hy-Vee who tried to auction off bottle of King when the last batch dropped.

This particular place in South East Wisconsin was selling the bottles for $27 apiece. Just absurd. They are a specialty shop, but nonetheless, crazy.

I stopped making hunt for TG. Being fortunate to be in the eastern Iowa side there are places that any bomber or TG sits for awhile before being claimed. If it's there at a reasonable price I'll grab one.

FWIW, the CB Hyvee got a few cases of this most recent release and sold them for $10.99, so thankfully their no longer doing any auctions.

Was in Decorah yesterday, King Sue was still available in the taproom. As well as fresh DDH Sue and Imperial Golden Nugget.

Most places in Cedar Rapids got 10 cases with four bottle limits. Hope the Imperial Golden Nugget follows. Definitely a top three out of their IPAs for me.

I love when bottle shops do things like this, it makes it real easy to identify places where I will never shop. People shouldn't forget crap like this and neither should TG.

tried searching this and older threads looking for this info: Does the taproom get crazy busy on the weekends? I'll be stopping through late afternoon Sunday, trying to understand if I should expect to get a seat or not.

I wouldn't think you'd have hard time getting a seat on a Sunday afternoon.

Sunday afternoon can gets a little busy, but not "can't find a seat" busy.

Mabe's Pizza, T-Bocks Sports Bar and Grill, and try Pulpit Rock while you're in the area for some great beer. Right down the hill and across the street from TG.

Per the other response, Mabe's and T-Bock's are good bets. Mabe's will deliver to either tap room.

Good Times (across Ice Cave Rd from TG) is actually better food than T-Bock's IMO. Both are sports bar type places. The fancier places will be closed Sunday. BA Burrito is a solid beer sponge as well. It is right between TG and PR.

For the love of all that's holy, visit Pulpit as well.

Mabe's pizza is unbelievable. Especially after a couple beers at TG and PR.
