Do online liquor stores sell this? And when do the barrel aged versions come out.

 

Who says there will be a two bottle limit this year? I have yet to see that.

 

I'll be taking the 1 hour drive...again.

 

How much do bottles usually cost?

 

I've made the four hour drive the last two years. I moved and will be flying down if at all possible. To answer the questions, in the past the beer has been available only at the brewery on the day of release (though it did last until the next morning in 2011). The way they've done it the last two years is you pick up a wristband that gets you your allotment. Two bottles in 2012, four in 2011. If there's any left after, then they sell it first come, first serve. I didn't stick around this year, but got four extras in 2011. Bottles were $20 the last two years.

I'm hoping they brewed extra this year after last year's release was so popular. But even if they don't, it's a fun time and there is generally lots of interesting stuff to try. Even if you don't line up for the whale guest taps, they usually pull a lot of neat stuff from previous events out of their vault. In short, it's a good time.

 

No BA bottles this year.....

 

I don't think so. I've watched the Luekens Big Town Liquors site(Florida) and it's never been listed.

 

What is the wait like for this? I'm thinking about flying down and dragging my brother or mom with me

Yea. the bottle limit HAS NOT been announced. In fact, as redblacks stated, the only info released has been the date.

Me too! Flew in last year and had a great time.

 

My guess is that they haven't even BREWED next year's batch yet, let along have an idea of how many bottles they will end up with.

 

They might have. Depends on how long they age it. Last year's batch was bottled in January. So, if it sits for three months, they'd be starting that around now. This, though, is total and complete speculation, whereas my previous post was a simple description of my experience the last two years.

 

Last year, a bunch of us were able to get up to a case each after the initial allotment was given out to those with wrist bands. Needless to say, no idea if this year will be the same.

 

So based on the past: 2011: 4, 2012: 3, 2013: 2...meaning 2014: 1, 2015: 0?

Please don't speculate. All you are going to do is panic people.
