Oh I will, but based on what he described, and knowing my own tastes, I am not expecting to love it.

It's also well known I'm not the biggest fan of the style, so I guess we're in similar company. I only saw the picture on IG (can't see the picture posted in this thread because work blocks it), and it looked like the typical beer that looks like juice instead of beer.

Regardless, I'm going to try and swing by to try it out sometime this week and grab a crowler for a friend that I owe a favor to.

Looking forward to trying the next Gummy series. Have enjoyed the offerings to date as well as We Be Logjammin (black ipa) this past weekend. Pretty solid in my eyes, nice bitterness. Place was packed on Saturday while we were up there this past Saturday. Good to see.

Had a can of Irish Coffee Bernie this morning. I think it's important to note this beer is a milk stout and only 6% ABV. So before I took a sip I knew this was going to be on the thinner/light side. It was. The coffee is quite good. Not sure what coffee was used but I liked it. No coffee bitterness until the back end. But it seemed more like a porter than a stout. I'm used to milk stouts being a little creamier, a little smoother. This was not a smooth drinking beer. It was good and I'm glad I have a 4 pack but I won't need more. A pretty good offering. The folks at Noon Whistle are good people and I think with time the beers will continue to improve. Happy to continue to support them.

Mikerphone guys are at Noon Whistle right now. Looks like everybody is inspecting the new Jive Gummy, and they have a bunch of kegs stacked up. I haven't gotten word of if they're actually doing anything here besides drinking, haha

Jive Gummy is awesome by the way

They must have read your post. They are at Noon Whistle cleaning their kegs according to various social media postings.

Nice to see this place hopping at 2pm on a Thursday!! Jive Gummy is very good but I liked Vortex better, think I like the bitterness on that one better. Can't beat the $7 Cozmo growler fills as well.

I went by today - liked the first one best. Last two are real good but not all that distinguishable to me.

Just opened a crowler of Jive Gummy and it's really good. Not sure I have a strong preference amongst Funny/Vortex/Jive. Probably would need a side by side but the enjoyment level is the same

Drinking one now at NW. It's good, but like others, I much prefer Funny and Vortex. There's not a lot of finish to this one.

I thought Jive was less bitter than Vortex on the backend, which suits my preference. I think I would put it in between Funny and Vortex though it's hard to go off memory.

picked up two crowlers of jive gummy and had a pour of bernie irish coffee which was really nice.

mouth-feel and appearance I want to say jive gummy is the best yet. flavor and aroma, while really great, funny has it beat.

Jive Gummy was good but Im about ne ipa'd out. Bernie coffee was 4 pack for 7 bucks. Great deal on a solid coffee stout. I thought the flavor was terrific. A bit thin, yes, but only 6% abv so its expected.

Chicago needs some of this love. Noon Whistle, Mikerphone, Une Anee, and StB need to get together and start a beer court in Chicago where they each have a little stand in the same space. Or they need to have a space in Chicago where they rotate the local brewery one day each week so it is like a tap takeover, but more like a pop-up brewery.

    Very well done.
Good range of styles from sour to stout, IPA to barrel aging. Right here in the backyard.

    Thank you Whistlers.
