They said on facebook they had one-third of the total left. I wonder if they just underestimated what BA stouts do to people. Their IPAs are incredibly popular, but people just go to another level of crazy with barrel aged stouts.

I would say 1/3 left after going from a case limit to half case in a four hour period is a pretty well managed release.

Fair enough. Having anything left after one day of being open is actually pretty good if you think about it from that standpoint. Was more trying to say - beer nerds are SAVAGES!

That is damn good for people who want a shot at it. If that release was in Chicago it wouldn't have made it past the pre-open line and everyone would be bitching that they showed up an hour before hand and still didn't get any.

    Has anyone actually tried it?

Had it at beerfest last week but it was too cold to get a good impression of it. Had 5oz on nitro yesterday and it was thick, medium vanilla and a nice bourbon burn at the end. Will open a bottle tonight to get my final verdict on it.

Got a bill for 2017 membership today but it didn't specify IL or MI. I'm an IL-only member, but I receive every Michigan email for some reason. Does anyone know which one was sent out today? I obviously emailed Chris back, but I do that with every MI email I receive and I've yet to get a response or get taken off the MI mailing list, so I'm not confident he reads them.

Going to be pretty disappointed if it is a bill for 2017 IL considering we haven't even received anything for the last membership period yet.

Is there a due date on the invoice?

I'll give it a couple days. I know last time emails went out in batches.

Out of the bottle, prominent green apple aroma, but tastes great. Thick and tons of vanilla.

Hmm. Anyone know what the limit is? Apparently it's still available. Thinking about making a drive

An Illinois update in my inbox! The Hailstorm collab was killer at Fobab.

    Members!
Welcome to the 2017 Transient Membership. I am very excited to finally be getting back to you all about this year's membership! We had a few twists thrown our way over the last few months that we are just ironing out now, so that we can finalize the first bottle release. We should have a date set soon, which should fall within the next 6 weeks. We should have 4-5 bottles in this release. Among the beers that we will release are a few barrel aged mixed culture saison, fruited sours and the first beers from our collaboration series with Hailstorm.

Speaking of the Hailstorm collaboration series, the first of which is being released Saturday, March 11th at Hailstorm in Tinley Park. The beer, Agnitio, won Gold for Brett Beer in this past FOBAB, and is an absolutely incredible beer. We will be including these collaboration beers in the membership releases at The Beer Temple with our first release, but you are highly encouraged to get them from Hailstorm as well, as they will be holding a portion of the production for sale only in Tinley Park

We will be emailing you all soon with a date and more information about our first release, so keep an eye on your inbox

Thank you all for your continued support!

Does anyone know if the Juice is Loose recipe has changed? I'm getting very little haze and a lot more malt. Still a good DIPA, but not really NE style anymore.

Question for the group, do they fill growlers at the Michigan location? Thanks!
