Couldn't agree more. Walked up thinking it was $10 for a 4 pack, pleasantly surprised to see it was $7.

Heading to Noon Whistle tomorrow on the way out of town from a friend's place in Oak Park. Any ideas of a good place to stop for lunch/brunch in that general vicinity? Heading north to Madison after stopping at NW.

Zenwich in Elmhurst. Although it's about 10-15 minutes, it's definitely worth it. 4.5/5 on Yelp with about 500+ reviews. Sooooo good!

Also Gulliver's Pizza is just east off Roosevelt (rt. 38) from Noon Whistle maybe a mile or two if you're hungry for good pizza. Get the pan style. You could even pick up the pizza on your way to Noon Whistle and eat it there.

Thanks for the replies guys. We ended up eating with the friends before heading over to NW, but we did stop in and grabbed a few crowlers and had a drink each. Really enjoyed the Jive.

Based on an earlier comment in this thread, I was determined not to miss the turn into the strip mall parking lot, but I did anyways. And it may have been because I was too busy laughing thinking about you guys, but I missed it again while coming back after making a U-turn.
My girlfriend was fairly confused and unappreciative of my sense of humor about it, but we finally found it on the third try and everything was good once we were drinking the Gummy.

Am I the only one who doesn't miss the turn off for NW? Just keep an eye out for KFC and/or Popeyes, and turn into that mall.

I'm right there with you. The only time I'm ever in that area is to visit Noon Whistle and I've never missed the turn

For anyone that hasn't been there, turn at the light with the KFC (on NW corner) and then veer left. It's set way back in the corner and has fencing out front. Actually, the entire strip mall is set far back off the road and there are only 3 businesses in it. Noon Whistle is in the middle, though Whirlyball takes up at least 2/3 of the mall, so it's somewhat far back there. Whirlyball is probably the "easiest" to see from the road, but even that is hard to find. And last time I was there at night, only the "YBALL" in their sign on the building is lit up, which doesn't help. Good luck, young jedis.

There's gonna be a new NE IPA on 3/16 (gimme a hell yeah) and apparently the guys are planning to start canning some of these hazes once they find one they really like

woah woah woah. is the beer called "Gimmie a Hell Yeah" or did you just add that because of the 3:16....

Would be genius marketing if it is true.

Jive Gummy still on draft all this week I would imagine? The previous gummys lasted a few weeks.

Just because of the 3:16, but hopefully they follow this board.

Genius only if they were targeting 5 Finger Death Punch fans.

Excuse me sir, but you do not have to like 5 Finger Death Punch to believe in our lord and savior, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Everything on that stretch of Roosevelt blends in together, so yep it definitely can be tricky at first to find if you hadn't been there before. Main thing to know is that like he said, it's both really set back from Roosevelt, and next door to Whirlyball. Look for the traffic light where you both see a Wendy's and a KFC(Wendy's is on the right, KFC on the left), and enter through that road.

Besides the fact it's next door to Whirlyball, it's also behind The Tile Shop, which makes it a tad trickier to find. Anyway the main thing to look for is the Lombard location of Whirlyball, and it's the first business to the left of Whirlyball.

I think that's a BA record for the number of times "whirlyball" has been mentioned in a thread
