Didn't want to start a new thread, but besides Scofflaw and Creature comforts, who is crushing it in ATL at the moment? (yeah, I know CC is in athens)

I'm heading down for Radiohead april 1st (WOOT WOOOOOT!) and want to pick up some good stuff for shares.

Three Taverns, Orpheus, and Burnt Hickory are my favorites. Three Taverns just keeps pumping out awesome beers IMO.

-Thanks for the suggestions! Now where would be the best place to snag some of these warlocks?

I'm not in the Atlanta area, so I'll let someone else answer this question but my guess would be pretty much any bottle shop in the Atlanta area should carry something from these breweries. I live about 3 hours South of Atlanta and I can get my hands on almost anything from these breweries, unless it is something that is brewery only.

You should find Three Taverns, Orpheus, or Burnt Hickory in most retail locations. My favorite stores when in downtown area are Greens (Buford Hwy or Ponce) or Hop City (Krog St or West/Midtown), but really depends on where in ATL you'll be or be driving through.

The Hop City West/Midtown location has a growler spot inside and is also right next to a 5 Seasons brewery location if you wanted to stop in there for food and some of their own brews. The Hop City Krog St location has an open bar area right outside their door with many tap choices, also several food places in the open area too (burgers/meatball subs at Freds, a BBQ spot, a southern fried chicken place, a Chinese spot, and others).

Monday night brewing is also doing some great beers now too. Can't wait for their barrel aging/sour facility to open!

It was release a couple months ago at two per person. Had a couple cases left they released this weekend at 1 per person. Best beer made in GA IMO. Vanilla bomb. Kills FO b2

$15 a bottle but you have to buy a tour with it. So basically $30

Yes I have had Existence and See the Stars. Both great beers. See the Stars had an amazing body but lacked maple and got more brown sugar from it. Existence had great flavor profile with distinct Barrel char but lacked body. To each their own

Yeah you gotta try it from the bottle lol. But I have a BAVA I'm sitting on for a minute. Will check back and tell you how I think it stacks up.

No. GA makes you buy a tour in order to buy to go beers. It's gonna change in september like a normal state

Its actually just their policy. A money grab if you will. At ccbc and others (I know Orpheus as one) allows for you to buy the product and the "tour" is free. As long as you go on the "tour" they can give the beer to you after. I think its a shitty practice to do that if all you want is the bottles. They will not be able to do that once September hits. Probably will raise the price lol...

It's still $30 for a BA stout which is pretty normal these days.
