Here is the information for this Saturday's 3rd annual Funk and Monk celebration! •

Wristbands will be available starting tomorrow afternoon during our normal business hours. They will also be available on Thursday and Friday during regular business hours. On Saturday, wristbands will be available from 11:00am-2:00pm. •

No wristbands will be given out after 2:00pm on Saturday. If you have a wristband, you are guaranteed the full allotment of Big Shrug and Need a Hug. Allotments will be determined based on turnout so there is no reason to show up crazy early or drink 40's on our sidewalk while you wait for us to open. [IMG]

Once you have a wristband, you are free to leave, go get brunch, grab a beer somewhere else but MAKE SURE you are back in time to pass through the line! •

Both Big Shrug and Need a Hug will be $18/Bottle and again, allotments based on turnout. •

Urban Monk is draught only however we will be pouring 32oz growlers. If you have one of our 32oz growlers, please bring it to save yourself from spending extra money on growler glassware. The surprise Urban Monk variants are draught only and with no growlers available.

Just stopped by to get a wristband (192). Saw signs for Turkish monk... and carrot cake monk.

I think this was the fastest I was able to get bottles. I was #79 and was in line for no longer then 20-25 minutes, was able to get Need a Hug at the bar fast as well while waiting since everyone was in line for carrot cake monk.

I feel like it's been a bit faster in the past. I was back around 190 at got bottles around 4:30. But that's still tough to complain about. Only reason I was rushing a bit was to try and make it to the Sierra Nevada Alpha Hop event as well. Carrot Cake line was moving crazy slow because the square they were using on that line had a malfunctioning card reader so they were having to type the numbers in. Personally, I'd have said eff it and made it cash only, but I'm guessing people would have griped. Once they switched squares (right around the time I got to the front) with the urban monk line next to them (that didn't have anywhere near as many people at it) it seemed to pick up the pace.
