What are you looking to get out of your stop at Sickies Garage?
They do have 50 taps but I wouldn't say the best tap list in the area and they do have lots of burgers and wings that end up on top in every state lists but I think there may be better options to eat at like Wurst Bier Hall downtown with Drekker Brewing next door (they have a good NE style IPA and some kettle soured beers). There is also a meadery in Fargo if you want to go that direction too.

Thank you! I will check out those breweries. Red Cow was on my tentative list but I've added it to the itinerary. I love the name of that food truck.

I know very little about Sickies. Your time is better spent at Junkyard. Fargo brewing is ok, but their space leaves much to be desired. Great food at Wurst Bier Hall though the service is invariably slow. Sorry to vehemently disagree with StarRanger above, but Drekker is tied for the worst beer I've ever paid money for. Skip that place.

Wow, solid list, thanks! I will be driving to Fargo. I debated hitting Wisconsin as well but I think we are going to go back to Chicago next year and hit Madison and Milwaukee on that trip. I may have to take a trip over the boarder now though.

I'm definitely hitting Indeed now thanks to you guys. I may explore Fair State as well. We like fried chicken so Revival has been added! Appreciate the tip on the Nook, the wife loves bowling. Republic for at least a pint sounds like a no brainer since it's right next to Town Hall. Cheers!

Drekker brewery in Fargo is pretty solid.

I picked Fargo in ND because I love the movie lol. I picked Fargo brewing and Sickies for beer and food respectively.

I hadn't researched Fargo as thoroughly yet. Wurst had officially replaced sickies.

Drekker has been added to the list as well. Thanks!

Cue the "You know Fargo wasn't actually shot in Fargo" comments in 3..2..1..

Some of the snow exteriors shots were filmed in Fargo per IMDB. I'm counting it! haha

That works for me! It's a great movie, regardless of where it was shot. Enjoy your trip!

one of my favorite breweries in the Minneapolis area that hasn't been mentioned is Sisyphus Brewing- they do lots of unique styles, excellent hoppy beers. One of my favorites of theirs is " citra hop" ; a beautiful hoppy session with a full mouthfeel, low bitterness and lots of citra aroma and flavor

I'd second this. If you decide to stop at Modist, definitely leave some time to head to Sisyphus. Their hoppy beers are phenomenal, as are their stouts.

You appear to be a Cohen Brothers fan. They grew up in Saint Louis Park, which is the nearby Minneapolis suburb where Steel Toe Brewing is located. They are a top 5 Twin Cities brewery on anyone's list.

A short detour to Schells Brewery outside of Mpls on your way to Fargo would be well worth it. New Ulm is a great small German town & Schells is a fantastic place to visit (2nd oldest family owned brewery in America).
    Enjoy your trip!

My quick thoughts. I love the Nook plans. You may want to go to Matt's Bar for the best juicy Lucy's. Muddy Pig has a good tap list. It's close to Revival's St. Paul location and Gnome. +1 to Wild Mind. Really like that place.

Not really, they did go way north of Fargo for some exteriors since it was a very warm spring and there wasn't much snow on the ground so they had to search for it.

The actually woodchipper is available for display and pictures at the F-M Visitor's Center if you want to get an action shot - http://www.fargomoorhead.org/what-to-do/the-woodchipper-in-fargo/

Drekker is not loved by all, but it is next door to Wurst and their newer brews are interesting and I think worth a try if you are there.
