I see you got some snow yesterday. A quick couple inches here on the seacoast, and I hear more to come next week.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Got some projects to work on over the weekend as overtime, but it should be pretty relaxing otherwise. Work hasn't been as hectic as it was in January/February, but still really busy. I have no problem doing the overtime while it's available, because I can work from home on the weekends while doing it. Beer this morning:

Fantastic! Just got a 6 pack this week. Flavors of mango, melon, peach, pineapple, berry, passion fruit, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate malts of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and toasted biscuit; with herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/spicy bitterness; with a nice balanced finish of sticky/resinous hops and creamy/bready malt character in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, never astringent. Very drinkable. Very juicy on hops, especially in the aromas; with a sizable malty backbone that is not overly sweet or heavy at all.

Awesome as usual. Flavors of big nutty roasted coffee; with milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and hints of dark fruits. Bittersweet creamy/silky and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Highly drinkable with great well balanced coffee/stout complexity. Doesn't hold a candle to the Founders, but I still love it for its own reasons. More of balanced coffee stout, with more dark malt sweetness and less roast/char dryness; while still having a ton of nutty/fruity coffee character. Unfortunately Bells took this off the 2017 Fall seasonal list for some reason, so I will have to pick up a full pack soon. It'll be around for a while though, like every year. It ages really well.

Incredible again this year. Flavors of huge pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with some honey/bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/grassy bitterness on the finish. Sticky/resinous mouthfeel with some grainy creaminess. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, zero hop astringency. Super juicy and dank, with just enough malts for bitterness balance. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Lightly warming 8% ABV. Amazing stuff. One of the juiciest DIPAs I've ever had in recent memory; literally tastes like tropical fruit juices. Will definitely buy more singles while I can.

Oct 2013 batch still on the shelf, grabbed one this week. Tasting awesome! Flavors of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, raisin, fig, plum, apple, orange peel, bourbon, vanilla, toasted oak, brown bread, coconut, and light pine; with some floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/rind bitterness and tannic bourbon/oak spice on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy/slick and lightly syrupy/sticky/tannic balanced mouthfeel. Lightly increasing dryness from sticky hops and oak tannins. Really big fan, tastes the same as my 2012 vintage review outlines from 2014. Still holds it's American style roots on the hop character and increasing bitter dryness, while having a lot of great well rounded barrel complexities; without being too dry, boozy, or tannic on the barrels. Mildly warming 10.5% finish, very smooth sipper. Really similar to BA Bigfoot on overall flavor character and complexity. Wouldn't mind grabbing again.

Good morning BAs! A light dusting last night -not enough to clean the driveway but enough to have to clean Mrs. Lizard's car shortly so she can go get her ears lowered. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Very nice! I wish I'd bought some more to sent Monday for NBS BIF #5.

[IMG] This one is for our Chocolate Lab Bogey he would have been 11 today, he was hit by a car on October 28th, amazing family dog.[IMG] Cheers, if I had a dollar for every beer I drank with him laying at my feet, it would probably scare me how much money that would be.

Ok, phone said it was 23 degrees out there, so we might not be doing much today. Will ponder any possible action over a couple beers:

And of course, I did a little verschmelzung of the two

One of the rare cases where "the blend" is actually as good, if not a slight bit better than the individual beers :grimacing:
