Here's the deal with KBS (this is from Founders): KBS is produced twice per year, once for the international market and once for US distribution. The KBS we are getting was packaged late 2016 (what/when that means, your guess is as good as mine).

Bottles typically go for $30 USD, so ya, wicked deal. Wonder how much actually came into the province.

Response to inquiry regarding this rumour that was received from a BT user:

Thanks for your interest in Founders!

We are excited to come back to Ontario and bring KBS and All Day to the LCBO to get things going.

Regarding the KBS product, our international business has a separate batch of KBS that gets made in December so this product comes from that. It is NOT from last March’s batch that the US business had.

    Thanks again for your support!

KBS Week website indicates a 4-pack price of USD$24 (and that's for those lucky enough to buy direct from Founders this week in Michigan - not sure what it ends up being in private bottle shops further afield), which would be about $32 with the exchange rate alone, never mind potential duties and taxes if you had to pay when bringing it back across the border. At $7.25 x 4 = $29, this is a steal (insomuch as a regular size bottle of beer costing in excess of $7 can be considered a steal).

I agree with you on how cheap it is. I remember spending $25 Usd on a 4 pack when I used to live in the states but that was cheap then when bourbon county 4 pack was the same and now it's hard to even get a 4 pack. So I'm really excited because of online ordering and we will probably have a lot available in stores.

The one thing I'm sketched out about, is that I bought some 2016 KBS in Dublin, so international, last June.

Again a hat tip to LCBO for pricing.
Sell hydro, sell water but don't sell our beer.

And also don't sell our hydro or water!!!!

That's what LC calls lightly aged.
Hopefully KBS can stand up to that.

If its only 4000 we can figure this is going to be a summerhill/rideau/ maybe orleans release... And Orleans is an if because the guy who does their ordering is on point... Still shitty.

Cascade is good and everything but its not the greatest. I'd rather see/buy Cantillon. Hopefully soon. I know Bar Volo gets it on draft a lot which is great

You are going to have to settle for Drie Fonteinen.

Yea? But LCBO doesn't have it? Also New Glarus Raspberry Tart is a delight but I doubt I'll get my hands on that anytime soon.

Keep 6 announced a release of the Oude Geuze at the end of March. That will be through LCBO.com and likely sell out quickly.

i would definitely not say "a lot". on occasion, it's on draught.
i'd assume twice a year Cantillon shipments will happen.

With only 480 for online? Volo keep everything else?

Volo (Keep6) isn't the agent, so they're buying like the rest of us.
