Thoughts on Fitger's after Dave Hoops departure?

    Has anybody been here recently. I am just wondering how the beer is doing after the shakeup at Fitgers? Wondering if it is still a place to stop at when in Duluth?

    I stopped in December or January, and had a beer. I thought Hoppelujah was really awesome, but I don't have any comparisons to before. Besides the beer, the food and view also makes it worth a stop.

    Hoops left Fitger's in September 2015. I have been there a handful (10+) of times since, and there beer has been just as tasty as it ever was. Mosaic MN Nice on cask was h*ckin' amazing.

    I haven't really noticed much. A recent batch of Superior Trail IPA was a bit off but like someone mentioned earlier I had the Hoppelujah in February and it was phenomenal.

    Not tied to Hoops leaving but they switched their fries a couple years back and the wild rice burger is a shell of it's former self. So bummed.

    I know they have another head brewer now. But they only have 4 beers on tap according to their website. What's up with that?

    Is it just letting the "old" beers run out and before putting beers from the new brewer on?

    I have noticed that their website (on tap list and growler availability list) has not been kept up to date in quite some time...

    Well considering it was updated daily with the available growlers and tap list, yes, it is a change. And since I was asking about the change since Hoops left, seems pretty cogent, to me.

    I know you are new here, but calm down. I think the eyeroll was a comment on the fact that it's very easy to keep a website up to date, in this day and age.

    Your snark-meter may need re-calibration.
