Yeah, I wouldn't use the brothers rating as my deciding factor on a beer, especially one that isn't really brewed to style. Check the ratings on Untappd and other reviews on here, they seem pretty good.

 

A prime example is the trillium hoppy beers. The bros gave many low 80s.

 

Has anyone seen any 2017 bcbs in DC Metro yet? Looking to buy 25 cases this year.

 

1 West has some. They are now able to get beer from the future. It will cost you your soul and $40 a bottle.

 

BA Painless > BCBS. I couldn't believe they still had bottles for sale at the brewery a couple weeks ago.

 

They still had them when I was there on Monday.

 

That's borderline criminal.

I actually thought Mo' Shuggie was even better! So glad these guys are distributing here. Now if only it didn't break the bank to buy a 4-pack of their beers.

 

Yea, they're good but tough to justify at that price. I'd be curious to find out why the price point is so high for them. Initially I'd guess just size, but surely they're canning and producing more than the likes of Veil, Other Half, and Aslin who are all cheaper. Perhaps the additional money is purely from distribution.

 

Did you grab yours from CBC or has Yes gotten some in yet?

I think Jenny Said was $20/4 pack at the brewery. So $7.75/can is a considerable markup but not crazy.

 

CBC, and I was just coming back in to talk about the price difference. Like you said, it's not an outrageous markup once distribution costs get factored in, and hey, I'm still buying them, so I'm not complaining! Singlecut doesn't even get distributed in NYC, it's brewery-only there, so I'm thankful we get it at all.

 

If anyone's still looking, IBB BA Maple Syrup is at WFP and CBC. CBC has Tilquin Squared in as well.

Meanwhile at Lost Dog South Arlington a few blocks away, Bruery White Chocolate bottles still around, at $14(?).
Also they still have Sump @ roughly $18.

 

Although Good Beer NYC does get Singlecut fairly regularly. Would like to see cans closer to 6$ than $8, but also happy to have regular access here. Nothing else on the shelf locally that compares.

 

Any see BB GBS still shelf turding around DC/NoVA lately?

 

K-1 just gets better and better - they and The Brew Shop are killing it as far as Arlington's concerned.
