Good morning, BAs! Today, I'm celebrating. I have officially turned over to my relief, and with that I move forward on the next chapter. I've been waiting for a good reason to crack this beer open, and I think this qualifies.

    Score 3.54
    look: 3.25 | aroma: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Clear light gold color with white cap and decent lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt and I get something almost nutty in the scent. Very faint hop presence.

Taste is gentle and somewhat fuller than I get from the average AAL. Nuttiness in the scent is increased in the flavor reaching something approaching fullness as the brew builds to the finish. Still no hop presence to speak of yet there's no trace of the usual AAL graininess either. A roundness in the finish caps things off nicely.

    Medium texture.

Overall it's better than I remembered from my experiences in the past with this brew. A likable surprise. Oh it's not going to become my house brew or anything but I can certainly recommend it.

Today, for my absolute frustration, I have an allen wrench and a set of tiny incomplete directions. I'll have a beer now.

I also am ceremoniously dumping my oxidizing pale ale. One each day and tasting them too to see how that changes. You can tell that @JackHorzempa was right about that because their photo of the beer is a different color than mine. Mine also now has this spicy quality on the nose that smacks of pepper or paper  The taste is much less hoppy even over this short time and you can taste a flatness and an edge that has stopped the beer form showing me flavor. My first impression was seltzer. Now it's more like paper. :slight_frown:

Some days you take of for snow; some days you take off for Madness (I'm only half mad, though, so half day):

Go UVa (not liking that it's a 12-5 matchup).

They are my favorite brewery. Not popular no but they have a solid year round line up, a single hop dipa series every 2-3 months a new release for that. Brewhouse rarities every 2-3 months a new release. Heat series of pepper beers. Always have new stuff out.

Breaking the law and drinking from the glass because it's a beautiful looking beer! Thanks @jhavs for the generous hook up, it's tasting better than Gatorade after a long run and dog walk. Things are warming up quickly and the snow is melting fast. I'm hoping that's the last gasp of winter weather. Bring on that weekend!
