Counter Weight Brewing Company (2018)

Picked up a 4 pack of Headway today. Will try one out after dinner.

 

Anyone find Headway around Hartford County? I know Harvest had it yesterday, but sold out before I could get there.

 

Would also like to know the answer to this question...

Anyone see cans hit Fairfield County yet?
One of my stores in Norwalk said his distributor just keeps telling him any day now.

 

I got one can (broken up and 1pp) in WH today for $3.99. Will open it later.

 

Place looks really nice! Hopefully, the beer is just as good or better.

Glad to see that places are already pulling that crap. Suggested price is $9.99/4 pack. I vehemently oppose breaking up brews that are packaged in a 4 or 6 pack format. That is the way the brewery intends for the beer to be sold. I do understand limiting a customer to 1 4 or 6 pack but this breaking up, then limiting, all the while gouging bullshit needs to stop. As long as there is a customer (please don't take this as a personal insult, we've all fallen prey), the stores will continue to pillage and play games. Hope you enjoy. I thought the beer was fantastic. FWIW, I got one from a friend who is real tight with Matt.

 

A store I spoke with (who are certainly good at putting beer out and pricing fair) said that there are only 100 or so cases out there right now as they ramp up production and their allotment was pushed back a few weeks.

Yeah I normally pass, but couldn't resist on this one. Having it now and am very impressed.

 

Fantastic IPA. Very dank; mango, papaya aroma intertwined. Tropical cornucopia on taste; assertive malt. Crisp, semi-dry finish. Hint of IBUs.

Surprised no can date. Would think with all new equipment...

 

Not me! I'm not sure of Matt's experience with those styles, but I would be extremely excited to have more local good quality sours.

 

Had Headway on tap in Fairfield County today ... delicious. Hoping to see cans show up.

 

Found a can in Oxford today at Spirits of 67. He said he only got in a single 4 pack so he was splitting it up. Not trilled but wanted to try it out. Will crack it this evening.

 

I was too late last night getting to the mom and pop shop I frequent, and they had sold out. Manager said they only got one case due to a slight canning issue, but there should be plenty on the way in the next week or two. That's what the distributor told them, though.

 

Had it on Tap at SBC Milford Wednesday Night. Thought it was very good. Will be keeping an eye out for cans.

 

Found a 4pk. Outstanding initial offering from CWB. Look out for them this year.

 

I was surprised it was on their $3 draft list Monday. Wish I'd had enough time to grab more than one.

 

Just found it; I like it a lot.
