Dark Lord Day History Thread

My Twitter feed shows posts with a timestamp in my local time zone (Central), which was 6:15 am the day of the announcement. They certainly don't like to give much notice to people! (I know that's to keep these tickets as "local" as possible.)

 

i would really like to see the label/bottle art for all of the variants this year. same for tickets since the group passes were all different.

 

For the Alpha King comic signings Brian Azzarello(Writer), Nick Floyd(Writer), and Simon Bisley(Artist) were all there.

 

Last year that was a mini snifter sold by Three Floyds...not Dark Matter. It has the traditional Floyds skull logo with wings on the front in black and the 20th anniversary logo on the back with a gold rim.

 

Good Work @kodt !!! Maybe have an admin/mod sticky and organize this thread so all the up to date info/pics/vids are all on the first post.

 

Those were also available at the pub a few months later.

At the time it sounded like a great way to cap off the night after shoveling barrel aged beers down my throat, and I might be one of the few who doesn't mind malort. However, $4 later I definitely regretted those two shots.

Appreciate the past info posted in this thread, some of the info and tips would have helped last year lol.

 

@kodt how did you find out the wax color for this year's Dark Lord? I noticed that you've posted it on the DLD history page. Inquiring minds...

 

Behemoth release indicates wax color for the year...

 

They have released some BA bottles from the kiosk that have the lime green wax. That's usually always an indicator that DL bottles will have the same. They usually use the same wax for an entire year with all their specialty releases.

 

Ah, ok. I never paid attention to the correlation between the two.
