I don't usually get started this early but with March Madness and St Patricks day, I consider this day out of the ordinary. A little Modelo will have to get the day started along with smoked salmon & eggs.

 

Blazing through lunch . . .



Score 3.53
look: 3.25 | aroma: 3.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Light golden color with white cap and good lacing.

Aroma of light caramel malt and gentle hops.

Taste is of honeyed sweetness first followed by mild hops. The brewer mentions something of honey in their description, don't know if they referring to the malt or actual honey, but the taste is in there. Light hops dance around a bit mid palate and the finish is clean, quick, with a bit of sweetness hanging on in the aftertaste.

Light medium texture with enough balancing carbonation.

In the craft beer world this is a lightweight among lightweights. Just not enough to excite the palate. Good for picnic fare or "let's have a beer" sort of activities, just can't find anything special about it.

 

Is that 3 beverages you got goin? Cider, coffee and beer? Great looking grub as always.

 

Hey BA have you got your green on? This maybe my only Irish beer today, don't know if I'll venture out to a bar at all. I do have some Irish roots, so I've got to celebrate at least a little.☘☘

On tap for later: corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes, pressure-cooker style. I'll tell ya what, life was much less complicated before I found out I was Irish.

Ok, back in the fray... failed in reporting "live" yesterday, but trying to keep up today. Too bad I have to keep working today.
So, the usual at this time of day - as close as I have to a stout - one of my last before thinking about a transition to another one...

 

American/Belgian inspiration of Kane really shins in the anny brews: layered quad with dates/dark fruits, malts, oak, and bourbon. Palate takes a journey via licorice, caramel, vanilla, figs…extremely smooth and elegantly vinous

 

such a "unique" album. Johnny and Frankie tear drop always stick out to me as well.

 

That is one of the most frightening, hardcore, real songs that I've ever heard. It's like nails on a chalkboard. I have a hard time listening to it all that often. It's B side song 1, I usually start at song 2.

 

Genesee Bock Beer. I can't believe this is only $16 per case. Thanks to @utopiajane and @JackHorzempa for making me aware of this great bargain beer!

Alas I remember when this was a premium beer when my friends and I got together. Still not a bad beer by any means, and one of my favorite ones to look at, but alas a tad too watery.

 

Goose Island Hombre Secreto with mango.

Not my favorite, but well done.

 

Great song! Suicide was so good, way ahead of their time. Would have loved to see them live!
