The blueberry pancake shake from the Cafe was awesome. One of my favorites actually. If todays shake is the same in quality and consistence as the previous one from a few week ago we are in for a treat..

I'm at line's end. It's a little deceiving how long it is.

Does that mean it has the appearance of being longer than it actually is?

    Cheers!

When I went last week, there were a bunch of big gaps, so it is tricky to judge

It was interesting how there were people all over the Fermentaria trying to trade their milkshake for the stout, considering how hyped the milkshake was. Had a few beers on tap, I think I'll have to visit again soon though, it was a great first impression!

I sold one of my stout cans to a guy who wanted to try it but showed up too late. I only got a 4 pack of it, but I'm not sure I need a ton of 10% stout made out of M&Ms (I know it isn't but it sounds like they made the thing out of candy).

Not that I made that quote, but for $24-$26 a 4-pack, I'd be extremely disappointed with a 4.07 or whatever. That better be a 4.5+ each and every time at that price point.

Reviews are showing up on Untappd for the Heavy Gem can releases that are going to be on Sunday -- they released today at Half Acre.

Sounding pretty meh to me. It's a Half Acre IPA. You've had it before. Doesn't sound like something I'd make a trip for and stand in a line to get.

For what it's worth Half Acre's Navaja DIPA is just as good as many of Tired Hands' DIPAs. But yeah, it's not a thick turbid juice bomb so might turn a lot of TH people off.

So people in Chicago went to the future and got the cans from THBC on Sunday, came back to the present time, and the first thing they did was check-in on Untappd?

People from today went to Heavy Acre today and reviewed the beer on Untappd.

"Heavy Gem will be available for purchase at: 4257 N Lincoln Ave Chicago, IL 60618 on March 17th and 35 Cricket Terr Ardmore, PA 19003 on March 19th."

I feel better about missing the Heavy Gem stuff then. I'm scared I'll end up driving from DC to Trillium for the anniversary triple IPA. Shame about Heavy Gem though. I wanted the descriptions they posted to be real.

Aren't we assuming a lot if we think that they're exactly the same?

That's what I was wondering. Unless they brewed in one place and shipped the cans/bottles to the other, I don't know how they can be exactly the same.
