    Ha yeah I would probably go that route. A friend of ours might have to work so he's not getting tix. If he could go then that's one down. I am pretty confident I could find someone.

    One year I had a laptop on wifi, a computer hardwired on a 50meg connection. And a phone on 3G, and the phone was the only one to get it...

    That was in 2014 when they used Crowdsurge for tickets. "It won't be long now." My goodness that system sucked.

    Sorta.

    They had a "You're in line" screen.. Wasn't really a waiting room necessarily, but there was definitely a screen that said something to the tune of "don't click back you're in line to get tickets"

    It was funny because that's where everyone was getting hung up. There are some people who, even today, say they're still in the queue.

    Totally random, as others have pointed out. I had one browser open on a mediocre Wifi and got 2 in group B. Admittedly it was like half an hour in, so I probably got lucky with someone timing out.

    Last year my wife got sick morning of DLD and couldn't use her ticket (Group C). Offered tickets up for sale at cost on FB and had 3-4 offers within an hour. You should have no issues finding someone to take it off your hands.
