Steel Toe hinted on Twitter and Facebook that they brewed a new seasonal that they describe as "mmmalty". Anyone have any intel on what that might be? Always excited for a new Steel Toe release, my favorite of the new TC brewhouses.

When I was at the brewery a couple weekends ago, I asked if anything new was in the pipeline. The guy working that day said there was nothing plan until the Lunker release sometime in Dec. Maybe something new is coming.

It would be cool if they became known as THE BA barleywine brewery. Multiple unique beers, each a different take on the BA barleywine. Kind of like Dark Horse, Bells and Founders with their various stouts.

They were up front about there being a second release of Lunker. This seems like a whole new beer that they want to keep secret until it is released.

Hopefully they don't go down the Fifty Fifty path.

I'm going to take a stab at translating what you posted, and reply with the following. If you are looking for Steel Toe beers you should check out the "Find STB" section of their website located here: http://www.steeltoebrewing.com/find-stb/

Thanks for the reply, i know where i can find it, it's just a 20 mile drive from my place. Mpls, st.paul, or SLP. I still wish they could provide a few burbs with some bottles. I know, the whole supply and demand argument here. Only time i can pick up their brews is an after work run to FF in SLP. Also, i didn't mean to hi-jack the thread here. They are brewing some awesome beers and wish i could enjoy their stuff more frequently, but since it's hard for me to obtain it, i don't drink much of their stuff.

Bite your tongue, lad. I'd be writhing in ecstasy if the Twin Cities could boast a barrel-aging program as good as FiftyFifty!

Haha, but I find very amusing what someone pointed out --- sometimes the beer costs more than the bourbon that came out of the barrels.

Valid point, but for beer that good I reluctantly open up my wallet. :sunglasses:

My vote is for a barrel aged old ale.
