I will be flying into Toronto on March 31 and leaving on April 1st. Will I be able to bring back beer as a carry on or is a 3 oz rule like the TSA in the US?
Just to be 100% safe I would put beer in your check in bag and I would also Make sure the limit does not exceed the amount you can bring back from Canada, From what I've seen that is 8.5 liters of beer. There are so many little things that can make border crossings a hassle today and in the end border guards have complete authority at the border. You don't wan't them to confiscate your beer or charge you a huge duty and if they do there is little you can do or say about it. Hope you get some nice beers! cheers bud!
P.S. I would also ask this question in the American forums, say north east or west because you are issued different rules than we are. I looked it up and that is what I found but it may be wrong.
not allowed more than the 3oz of liquid when entering secured zone. store your beer in your checked luggage
Also.....airport border guards seems less concerned with how much beer you actually bring back then land crossing border guards. I'm sure they are more focused on making sure planes don't get blown up and really could care less if someone is a few bottles over their allotted personal allowances.
untrue. you are allowed up to 10 x 100 mL bottles as carry-ons. you can pour beer into 100 mL bottles and carry it on.
Okay you do that.........wtf beer would you want to abuse that badly to bring home. Flat and in a small bottles.
hey, i'm not talking about smart or optimal. i'm just talking about what's legal i remember reading this off some blog post where, literally, a bunch of alcoholics are talking about ways to bring booze onto planes for in-flight consumption. so 10 vessels that are 100 mL or less is legal. and if you're cracking open a Utopias or C-DOS and sharing with me, hell, i'd consider taking 100 mL home on flight.
you can carry on through Israel's airport, the safest in the world. They laugh at this rule (also the one with the shoes off)
