Yeah, I'm not sure how Founders hasn't sued them over using the name Nemesis for one of their beers. Maybe because they don't distro?

 

Or Founders doesn't have it trademarked. Not every beer name is trademarked, there are many of beers with same names.

 

There is a common law trademark, however, where the owner is using the trademark in business. Protections are limited (geographically).

 

Founder's distros within the geographic region...

 

Just had a Mosaic Gummy from Noon Whistle, it may be the first time I've been disappointed in an offering by them.

It already looks different from the picture they posted, in that it's a more clear and amber color instead of bright orange and hazy. I followed it up with a Jive Gummy, and the mouth feel on Mosaic isn't as soft either - I'm definitely enjoying the Jive much more!

Mosaic Gummy is a great tasting IPA, but I think this will be the first of the style that I don't bring home any crowlers of.

To each his own though, come down and support them, and try it!

Didn't plan on getting another, but this guy at the bar ordered one. Sorry for the zoomed-in picture, I would've felt awkward walking up and asking to take a picture of his beer....

 

I'm burnt out on NE IPA's...back to the Midwest IPAs.

 

Negative, everybody at the bar is ordering the Mosaic Gummy and they all look the same. Not to mention I'm not the first person to immediately follow it up with Jive Gummy...

 

Are they still filling growlers of Jive Gummy?

 

It's still on tap, so I would assume so. My guess is they would try to get as much of the previous release out of the building as possible after a new release today. However, don't quote me on that

 

Made it to Noon Whistle around 12:30 today. There was a line of about 5 or 6, they had prefilled crowlers of the new Mosaic Gummy so the line moved very quick and I was in and out. Jive Gummy was also still available.

 

I thought Mosaic Gummy was really good. I Iove Mosaic hops, and I thought the aroma and flavors of this beer were solid. It is darker and more clear than Jive Gummy, but I thought the beer seemed more saturated in hop goodness than Jive. It's still pretty damn hazy, just not quite as much as Jive is. Hazier than Heady Topper, not quite as hazy as a Tree House/Trillium.

I still think the original Funny Gummy and Gummy Vortex are the best of the non fruited bunch

 

I mean on one hand it looks good with the hops it was made with, but on the other hand it wasn't made with the same hype that StB made their beers with.

 

Interesting, I guess I know where I'll be stopping for lunch tomorrow

 

Maybe the loss of hype is a good thing...

 

I find it rapidly accelerates the degradation of the beer's flavor.
