I'm doubtful they even need 500k.. i guess maybe if they wanted to expand even larger and move to a new building or operate two buildings.. idk.. just doesn't feel like a Kane thing to do imo.. They never gave off that "Club" type of vibe, don't think they would change that no matter the circumstances... it's fun speculating though

who wouldn't want guaranteed access to the bottles Kane puts out... we all flock there multiple times a year.. if they did a club i'd certainly try to get in on it, but if that meant if i didn't get in that it would then be that much harder to get bottles i'd rather it stay the same and if you are available and they do a release you have a solid shot of getting the bottles

This isn't a matter of "needing" $xK. Beer making is capital intensive... any brewery would be foolish for turning away up front cash if they were offered it.

Anyone think there's a sliver of a chance we get morning bell before the ANTEAD pickup weekend? I really miss the old girl.

I was thinking/hoping the same thing. Maybe throwing the ANTEAD lottery out there would stop the rumor fueled lineup Saturday morning and BAM Morning Bell. Would be a nice consolation before losing the lottery :astonished:

2013 they put it into limited distro. About 10-20 stores received a case each if I recall. I dont believe there was any brewery limit, but I could be wrong. But I am positive it was in distro, it is how I got it.

Scoring morning bell bottles would definitely soften the blow of getting shut out of ANTEAD for me. I've never gotten to try ANTEAD every time it's tapped or released I seem to just miss out or come just too late. Morning bell however is my absolute favorite beer ever!!

The initial, more Belgian iteration, was distributed as well as Morning Bell; both were corked & caged

I can't complain I got a bottle last year when they did the DB version. I got there very early while the DB was still there and asked for the regular and they were actually surprised. I just wanted to try the original !!! If I get a 2nd chance this year I probably will just do original again since it is so damn good! Good luck man hope you break your streak

I still have one of each of those. Planning on opening them soon. I'm guessing they're both oxidized at this point.

The initial ANTEAD I picked up in a local store. Enjoyed and went back the following week and bought 2 more bottles. What a crazy concept.

Probably have better success with 2013 ANTEAD, considering it being a hybrid of sorts (belgian/stout/dark ale). Mighty curious how the “Belgian Candi Sugar” played out; might have developed into an intricate monster: dark fruits, caramel malt, vinous...or a toilet flush

I am not going to get into it here because I like Kane a lot and don't think it's my place to talk about their business decisions, but I strongly disagree with that sentiment.

Am I the only one curious about what ANTEAD is like before the barrell aging process. Was it ever released under a different name in the past?

“Some people start companies to sell out. Some start companies because they are compelled to follow their passion. True Craft is for the latter...Craft beer needs an alternative model to the one that requires founders to sell their company in its entirety. In a world in which there are constant forces toward homogenization and fitting in, I specifically want to foster a world of uniqueness, depth and character"
