That sounds good. Texas' own FBS. They just need to make that and put it in six packs instead of bombers.

Yes just assuming. I'll eventually get around to drinking a bottle as the weather cools down.

Just try Funk Metal like I'm going to. Then you'll think you're trying a whole new beer instead of Farmhouse Black Metal.

If I can get a bottle of it I'll give it a go for sure. I try to get at least a taste of all the limited releases.

We are on the same page.

Farmhouse is okay with age on it. The taste mellows over time. Fresh I find it has too much of the Noble King/Mad Meg flavor.

The first time I had Farmhouse BM, I loved it, but it was on Cask and was at the Petrol Anniversary party. Was the first time we'd seen it in Houston. I cracked my first bottle and didn't care for it half as much as the original and it tasted nothing like that cask I had had in November. I am a huge fan of the original, I wish it was coming back. :slight_frown:

I do agree that the original Black Metal was A lot better. I really regret not stocking up on them when I had the chance.

So on one hand some say they are in a rut and on the other some say create continued variations on the same beer.

    What fickle fans we are.

Ah, the joy of individual taste and personal opinion. One man's meat, and all that.

I love it when a brewery makes a barley wine, especially a barrel-aged one, but I don't see it working with JK's yeast and farmhouse philosophy/style. A quad, yes. But if they made a farmhouse strong ale of the barley wine/old ale/Burton ale variety I'd still try it just in case I was wrong.

I had the Buddha's Brew last week. Thought it was fantastic! Loved how sour it was!

I was asked tp post up in here when i cracked open my Weasel Rodeo, well i have and had no carbonation issues i can see, taste is pretty coffeeish, and taste almost no peppers, thankfully.

    Id buy another bottle.

edit--ok maybe not NO carbonation issues, ill admit i think id like it a touch more carbonated, but its definitely got an ok amount for the beer style i think. Head retention was nil and head was pretty small, but i can see bubbles in the beer(with a super strong light!) and taste a good bit of carbonation, but definitely id like a bit more.

Ps, tasted the peppers after the whole bottle was consumed.

and it actually complimented the stout VERY well imo.

To me, the peppers didn't show up till the beer got warm. When I initially opened the bottle the peppers where hardly noticable.

Glad you think so. We tried to use restraint with the Chipotle peppers, so they'd be a nice background note that would become more apparent as the beer warmed.
