I bought the last two sixers of it in December at Total Wine here in Durham. Everyone passed on it because of the $16 price point.

You mean 4 packs, right? Unless they had 12 individual bottles for sale.

nah I meant 4s. which makes it ever worse. Its one of the few beers I would flinch at that amount.

I suggest that we all stop talking about this beer and let this thread die. Raving about how great this beer is will not make it any easier for us to buy it. :grinning:

My point person at Binny's said Chicagoland should see the same distribution level in *most* locations. The city itself is the hot section of town but the burbs get their fair share as well.

This beer sucks, not sure why anyone here would like a bourbon barrel aged Scotch ale.

I think it's too late to stop the train on this one.

Is it hard to get some places? I easily got two cases last year and could have bought 2-3 more if I wanted

Not terribly hard, but harder than the year before. And it'll probably be harder this year.

This stuff is quickly becoming my favorite seasonal release each year.

One of my favorite from founders, lucky enough to get this on tap from the brewery when they have it. Not sure if it beats KBS IMO, but its close really close. Looking forward to it this year.

I just drank one the other day and thought the bourbon had really fallen off. Still a great beer...but if you like a bourbon bomb, drink it fresh!

It has really mellowed out since last year.

I kept half of mine in the fridge and the other half in the cellar. I drank one from the fridge the other day and still was a little sad that I'd waited so long to drink such a perfect brew.

I may be crazy but I think it's tasting a bit like Curmudgeon since it's mellowed out.
