Back at home and ready to crack a Heavy Gem DIPA I picked up at Half Acre. The Cooper Project from Goose is a decent beer, but there's very little barrel profile in there to be found. I was informed after my last post that it sold out. The bartender said there was only around ten cases of product. After trying it on tap I can say I wasn't disappointed. The Foudre Project wild red ale aged on French oak then used Bourbon County barrels was very good and complex. It tasted like a dry Chardonnay and is definitely worth a try.

I'm surprised that Heavy Gem IPA was still left. They must have made quite a bit. That's a good beer.

Foudre Project? Damn, that sounds crazy.

I was quite surprised myself and glad I was able grab some. It's very good indeed and I'll be reviewing on NBS soon. Grabbed a sixtel of Tuna for the kegerator. And yes the Foudre Project was good. I heard it's going to be a regular small batch thing.
