    Nice!

I don't expect them to sell out of either today but if they do happen to I'm sure it will be posted on their fb page as soon as they do. They are good about updates and keep their can availability section of their website current.

4 can release week, 2 returning and 2 new, one of which will be a gose.

    Returning beers:

IREALLYdontwanttoBU is the double dry-hopped version of our 0 IBU IPA IdontwanttoBU. 6.9% and hopped intensely with Citra and Mosaic. This one is incredibly aromatic. We heart this one. Shooting for 195-210 cases. $15+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person. *LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

Old Lions is an 8.6% DIPA hopped to heck with Citra, Simcoe, and Motueka. V hazy and V tasty. Shooting for 195-210 cases. $16+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person. *LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

    New beers.

Ice Cold is a 5.9% saison brewed with 100% wheat and New Zealand Motueka hops. Effervescent, crisp, refreshing, and so icy my guy! [IMG]❄️Shooting for approx 65-85 cases. $12+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person.

Never Aloha is a 4.9% Hawaiian Punch inspired Gose. For the salt addition on this batch we used Red Alaea Hawaiian sea salt. We added hundreds and hundreds of pounds of passionfruit, pineapple, mango, blood orange, and cherry purée into this one. We also salt baed in a small amount of Hawaiian Punch powder for good measure. It literally tastes like an adult tropical fruit punch. [IMG] Shooting for 100-115 cases(the most cases we've ever packaged for a fruited Gose!). $17+tax/4-pack. 2x 4-packs per person. *LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

Hi all - I have the wife stopping by Veil on Tuesday to pick up some cans; is it likely to be crazy busy?

    Cheers!

Yes, not the craziest release but I would expect at least an hour in line if she gets there at 4PM. It will likely be a lot less crowded later in the evening but will probably not get the Gose.

I'm thinking this is going to be a big one. 4 cans, gimmicky fruited gose, Old Lions was a sleeper hit last time, and the BU series is popular. I would expect a long line with gose and Lions selling out before Wednesday.

Tell her to bring a good book and comfy chair. With a Gose release plus it being 4 cans that caps out at a 2 1/3 case max allotment if you get everything this week's release will be a worth while trip for those coming from out of town. The weather could also prove interesting. Forecast has a good chance of morning and afternoon Thunderstorms. The afternoon wetness is showing it come come around 2pm.

I will be in Richmond Wednesday/Thursday 4/5 and 4/6. Should I assume that all from this weeks can release will be gone by next week? It seems as though The Veil does new releases every Tuesday so I should expect a different release next week? That's what I've gathered from this thread but just wanted to confirm in case I was missing something. Looking forward to checking out the taproom and taking some cans home if possible!

This week's release will certainly be gone by next Wednesday, but the good news is yes, as you've noticed, there will be something else released next Tuesday.
Obviously we don't know what will be released next week but if you go Wednesday, usually something is left from Tuesday regardless of what it is and often times multiple things remain the next day.

Thanks for the intel so far guys - so in order to minimize wait times, does 5-ish seem like a good time? I guess that much later and the gose will be cooked ;-)

You'll also likely find everything from this week still on draft. They don't do growlers or crowlers but you could easily get pours of all 4.

Gose shouldn't be gone that quick. They'll be about 300 allotments of it. If you're in the first 300 in line obviously safe but some people might pass on it.

There's going to be a wait this week regardless. It will just be on the front end or back end. With a Gose releasing there's really no way to minimize waiting unless you show up later in the evening. People flip and show up crazy early whenever a Gose or collab is canned. If you show up around 5pm it is safe to say a line will be wrapped around the parking lot and down the sidewalk. Probably at least a 90 minute wait, if not longer. I could be wrong however. I am confident the Gose will sell out tomorrow but I think people get FOMO and show up way earlier then need be for these releases. As with what @Gumbo_gravy said, you just need to be within the first 300 and not everyone is going to max out with 2 4pks. I think you would be good on getting Gose cans showing up at 5pm but be prepared for a wait. Good thing is all you need to do is make it to the parking lot so you can enjoy pours while waiting.

If you are on fb you can also keep tabs on the current line status through the BTV page.

Did a little back checking on this one. It appears this is actually the former "Ice Cold Smoke" that was released as a pilot batch on Third Thursday back in November so it's not necessarily new. Just new to cans and re-named. My guess is with "smoke" in the name it threw people off since it was not a smoked beer at all. Not even sure why they would include it in the name in the first place. Anywho, both share the exact same description just about along with abv. And The Veil stated can debut. if it was truly a debut they would not have state the packaging type.

Today's release is going to be interesting with rain in the area just about all day. Forecast shows clearing up late morning with another round of storms making its way through RVA between 2pm-4pm. Good thing is it looks like the rain chance keeps pushing out later in the afternoon so the early arrivers may not get poured on but it could be the return of chairgate with a lot of people hovering in their vehicles until the 11th hour. Just keep in mind roughly 300 minimum will get the Gose so no huge rush and the rain may keep some people away who would normally make the trip.

I'm pretty surprised at the level of hype for this too. Even if that Aloha Gose lives up to the hype.

Given the hype surrounding the Aloha Gose release, is there a chance that they sell out of draft before next Wednesday? I'm unfamiliar with how large their batches are and how long they tend to have new releases on draft for.

haha, I just saw that, hilarious, why on earth would anyone want to sit in the parking lot for 5+ hours unnecessarily.
