Basically where i am just further west on the main line if there is a big storm or sudden downpour always have look for trees and branches coming down and hitting the lines. Here and where my coworker lives up in Churchville are basically power outage central.

That is my guess but I suppose it could be argued that if you live in a PECO (the local power company) area that by definition = problematic.

It is a simple explanation from a power provision perspective: if the utility provides 'good' resiliency (e.g., redundancy) then the customer has a lower likelihood of losing power during events (e.g., Thunderstorms, wind storms, hurricanes, ...)

From a business perspective it costs the utility to provide resiliency (extra equipment. lines, ...).

I live in a pocket of about 33 homes that regularly loses power during events like hurricanes. Could PECO improve this situation? Absolutely. Will they? Nope, because they are not willing to make the investment.

I should point out that in older communities which have overhead lines this makes things more challenging. In newer communities where power lines run underground you obtain better performance (i.e., higher availability).

Probably more than you wanted to know.:flushed:

    Cheers!

the area has shit infrastructure is why they lose power, and like somebody else mentioned, they won't fix the infrastructure unless absolutely necessary.. the power company makes it's money regardless so why would they fix something

they do can before releases now.. not sure how often or the extent of it but it's been documented they filled cans on Friday to release on Sunday and imagine that occurs for mid week releases too but who knows.. doesn't much matter either but if you want to really sleuth check the date on the cans when you pick up cans

double bananna or double vanilla both sound tasty... extra nilla was tasty.. i'd have no qualms with it being double extra nilla

Nope. The limit per person will likely be three 4-packs and Tired Hands will only permit you to give them $72.

Maybe that is a good thing?:astonished:

    Cheers!

Could be. Particularly could pull it off if it's a milkshake.

That week has an asterisk because of the storm. Consider it the McGwire-Sosa of release weeks.

i don't think you'll ever see another Friday release.. i also don't think there will ever be a Saturday release.. but feel free to continue to hope!

Sunday will be used for releases as they have always been used and i'm sure Wed/Thur will be used too

i believe it's just a matter of too many fucking people being in the area around TH and that on Fri/Sat it's a major day for other business in the area to draw people in.

imagine.. and i know this is crazy.. but you weren't into beer and you saw an ad for a restaurant in Ardmore... you want to go check the place out for a 6 pm dinner on Friday. Upon getting to Ardmore it's overrun with people carrying beer everywhere and the public parking lot and surrounding area has no parking available...

i'm sure that scenario has played out and i'm sure the surrounding business don't want what is their busiest times to have no parking available.. i know the retort.. TH brings these places business... that is true.. but it can also thwart business from non beer people

don't expect to see Fri/Sat releases at this time. Who knows how they plan to use the general store so maybe in the future things will be "released" on a Friday/Saturday but it'll be a much different operation then "can releases"

For quite a while it was only Wednesday. The random Sunday release is a newer thing. So I'd still expect most releases to be during the week.
