Glen Ellyn Binny's has Parabola (2pp). I don't know how much they have. The employee retrieved the bottles from the back. I asked for it at the service desk.

Thanks for the info...just grabbed a couple. I could've made it over to Beer Temple yesterday, but getting away from work for just one of the 12 oz bottles didn't seem quite worth it. The 2 pp limit at Binny's was nice.

There were 5 full cases, plus 4 more bottles left.

I hope you looked at the right stack. I was there 15 minutes ago and there were 5-6 cases of Parabola, but about 3 cases of Bravo!

Doesn't sounds like there will be much left in a couple of hours. Partly I'm sure it's due to legit desire for this beer (Parabola is very good, I admit),... But I also have to wonder how many people are just driving from Binny's to Binny's and just stocking it up for eventual trades.

 

But this is how it always is with Parabola, right? I'd venture to say it's lasting longer this year. I remember a couple years ago Binny's Lakeview got theirs in on a Wednesday morning and were gone in an hour or so. I honestly don't get why it goes so fast. It's a good beer, but I think it's well below BCBS, BA Ten Fidy, among others. I know lots of other people feel differently, though.

 

I suppose that's true. Last year I was fortunate enough to get a bottle by being at the right place at the right time. All other years I had to trade for one. Was just hoping it would stick around a bit like Bravo (having the format changed and all), but it appears I have yet again underestimated the Chicago beer scene craze.

 

Just picked one up. Binnys on grand changed their limit to 1. I found some cool glassware there- GI BCS snifter and Mikerphone Teku glass.

 

I checked out this liquor store in Geneva to try to grab a 2nd bottle (they get it tomorrow). I noticed they had Another One by Maine. I just grabbed a fresh one yesterday at Binny's and I just looked to see if it was the same date code because I'm weird like that. It was from 2014. That's the most out of code IPA I have personally come across

 

Ended up getting my 2 at Binnys in Glen Ellyn on my way home from work. Thanks for the heads up everyone!

 

What time did you stop in/do you think there will be any left today at lunch? The Bloomingdale Binny's is closer to my work (they don't have it yet either), but Glen Ellyn is pretty much the next town over
