I probably should have asked earlier but how tough is it to win this thing?

 

You don't have to worry about winning. Your wife already has April 8 & 9 filled up with open houses and realtor appointments.

 

The odds are about as long as your drive up from Virginia to pick up your set

Hey locals, apparently Jersey Mikes is giving away 100% of their profits to NJ Make-A-Wish today. (Just trying to make this thread worthwhile instead of a pile of awful crap).

 

Just having some fun . Doubt anyone really knows the odds.

 

I have the same track record with ANTEAD lottery as Phish - I never win either. 13 darn MSG shows, and I didn't get 1 out of the numerous requests I put in.

 

3720 to 1 that's the odds

 

We have about two dozen people from the Charlotte metro area signed up for this. Hoping for at least 2 hits to make the trip worthwhile, but preferably enough to fill up the car.

 

Gotta get them whalez bruh

Worked great in December 2015...and hit Carton, saw my buddies for lunch in Asbury Park that day...this time, drive up sat, pick up bottles, stay with friends, get sloppy, drive home on Sunday...3:45 from my door to Kane's door...

 

Does anyone remember how many bottles there were last time? Should be significantly more winners this year since most of the winners got 2 sets last year right?

 

I think it was around 1500 complete sets plus the extra stragglers.

Regarding the pre-sale this morning: we've spoken with Brown Paper Ticket several times and there was no reported glitches or problems with the site. We understand some of you are reporting that you experienced problems and we passed that on to them and they have their development team looking in to it. For those unfamiliar with BPT, it is used by a number of breweries for pre-sales with no issues—which is why we went with them.

BPT ticket is telling us that there were over 14,000 hits to the page around noon and it just sold-out quickly. Our preliminary review of the transaction list didn't reveal anything questionable about the transactions that were completed.

We share your frustration. There is no perfect way to release these beers. We continue to work to find better ways and believe this was the best option given the physical limitation of our brewery space, building capacity and parking. We will continue to increase our production of these beers as capacity allows. This year's pre-sale alone was nearly 4,000 bottles, a considerable increase from last year's total, with lower limits. I know this doesn't help those that were shut-out but it at least sheds some light on the situation.

 

We were already scheduled to visit my cousin and hit Carton/Kane on ANTEAD weekend. So it could be fortuitous if we hit the lottery, or tragic if we do not.

What would the tap room be like on release day? Worth a trip if you are not a winner, or just a disaster?
