I had a Second Wave yesterday, you're not kidding. Such a fantastic beer. Just so danky and so much lemon. I had a Crusher right after it and, honestly, I preferred the SW.

They've got these most recent batches totally dialed in. This weekend I had my last Power of One followed by a new Second Wave. Both unbelievably good. PO had a slight edge over SW, but not by much.

This batch of Oops is unreal. So smooth. I love weekday releases.

been impressed with all the sand city beers I tried, but sipping on my only can of Power of One right now and its so good I felt compelled to make this post, as the comment above described it, "unbelievable good"

Any idea if there will be cans this week? I'm visiting till Saturday and am planning to go regardless but cans would be a big bonus!

Doubtful. There is no schedule for their releases, but as far as I know, they've never done a release back to back weeks. And most times they vary from weekdays to weekends. Last release was a Thursday, so next release based on previous experience would be Sunday.

Edit: Don't let that deter you, the brewery is great and you can take growlers to go!

They were at Aslin beer co yesterday for a collab brew, and finished by shot gunning cans. Hope that makes it into cans, buddy on LI has been raving about Sand City for months.

Releases have been pretty consistent at every 2 or 3 weeks since December. They just dropped a couple of cans late last week, so probably another week and half or so until the next release. Midweek releases (usually Wed or Thu afternoon) are announced the day before or day of. Weekend releases (usually Sun 10am) are announced a 2-3 days before. .

Love their beer and the way they run releases, but the tap room is more dog park then tap room. Tried to go in yesterday, place was packed and filled with barking dogs, walked in and walked right out.

I know people love their dogs, but don't understand how a dog filled tap room is acceptable.

Somewhere it became socially acceptable, but to me it boils down to too many owners with little idea of responsibility.

"Buying a dog is going to be so fun!"

    (Buys dog)

"Oh shit. I can't go out and do whatever I want all day. Better take my dog with me everywhere I go"

Hell, now everyone registers their pets as "therapy" animals so they can take them on the plane

There's a fine line between a couple cool dogs hanging in the taproom and "ok, I feel like I'm in a damn pet store now."

Unfortunately Sand City has been the latter the couple of times I have tried to hang out in tap room. When I got there yesterday there was a very big dog at entrance barking up a storm.

I bring my dog to Barrier with me and have been since I got him 4 years ago, but only early in the day before the tap room gets crowded. Hes very friendly so I almost never have an issue. However sometimes there are other dogs there he does not get along with, so I do the responsible thing and leave. If he starts barking, I leave. Its all about responsibility. If your dog sits next to you the entire time without making a sound, I've got no issue. If your dog keeps barking or begging at me for my food, or starts trouble with another dog, do the right thing and leave.

Damn. So much for that. Guttersnipe is gone and Even Mo probably won't make it to tomorrow. Nuts

Crazy they can sell out so fast on a Wednesday 3:30 release! Hopefully they increase production because the threshold of any ease of getting cans is gone.
